Typical chain type restaurant, corporate décor and fittings. Standard menu of fare, not inspiring food choice. Poor beer selection, only lagers and no ales. Beautiful location on quayside but no character and on pricy side.

We booked a last minute evening away and found Gusto online! It came with some great reviews and as very fussy eaters we were really impressed with the menu! From arriving the service was absolutely amazing! The staff were really attentive and couldn't do anymore!...More

We visit Gustoes regularly, good food, good service and attentive waiters. However last night they had a large party upstairs and we waited about 1 hour for our main course to arrive. The Management must know when they have large parties to have more staff...More

Food was mediocre. Waited ages for our meals... never again. Decent staff and nice atmosphere but food and waiting times were a let down.

This is one of the best restaurants in Newcastle. Visited this restaurant twice in July within a week. Great location, parking just across the road in the multi-storey car park and fantastic ambience. The food is consistently excellent. Great menu and drinks. Service was attentive...More

Despite eating here on a Sunday night the atmosphere was great. The staff were really friendly and the service was quick and efficient (although we didn't feel rushed at all). The food was served hot and tasted good!

Most people wear smart clothes but it's not strict. We went on a sunny afternoon and I wore smart shorts and a t shirt and I didn't feel out of place.

As if the Gateshead Millennium Bridge and the Baltic Art Gallery weren't enough reason to visit Newcastle's Quayside, there is also Gusto. Make the most of those sunshine days on the beautiful terrace, and when the evening (or the clouds) draw in, step inside the large, lively bar - with a superb choice of wines and cocktails. Add a 200-year-old olive tree, sprinkled in fairy lights, and Gusto Newcastle makes any day magical.
