Been to The Cluny many times but todays visit was the first in a while, it will be a while before we go back. A fantastic setting, good beers, friendly staff however the place needs a deep clean, overwhelming smell of pee from the toilets, fruit flies abound in the seating area and the food was very disappointing, pizza took... Has the appearance of a student bar, good location, food was average, has a children's menu but not a great place for kids

Looks like a great venue for live music sadly no one playing whilst we were in the area. Young woman behind the bar was really helpful.

Been to Cluny a number of times to eat/drink. In the past, the food has been great (including great chips, one of my favourite things, a good chip!). As usual, beer and cider were great. Disappointed with our food though, sorry Cluny 😞. Moroccan veg tagine - not nearly enough veggies and hot but lacking flavour. Would have benefitted greatly... More

Dropped in for a beer, fantastic place that brings back history of previous years. Well worth a visit if in th Tyne Valley.

Was starving and no hints managed to get my friend to order food: still the beer choice was fantastic and (eventually) landed on the Anarchy Blonde Star. The Cluny is a bit of a music institution. Tonight it was a bar with loads of choice and little music.

Great bar, great location, great beers and some of the best gigs in the city. Also part of a excellent Ouseburn pub crawl route that is a must do, especially if you want to avoid the Bigg Market

Had a meal before an afternoon gig. Between us we ordered 2 burgers, one all day breakfast and one pulled pork sandwich. All very tasty, and very good service - meals arrived after about 10 minutes. We'll be back!

Went to see some great musicians and decided to eat between the bands performances. Ordered spinach and chickpea chilli with chips and a spicy bean burger. What we got was a bowlful of chips with a very small portion of average chilli on top and an average bean burger. No seasoning on chips. Poor service. No follow up on how... More

Visited after doing the Victoria tunnel guided tour. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch served by friendly staff at a reasonable price.
