We had a quick lunch here. I asked them to leave off a few items of the dish which didnt really went through, but its a minor mistake. The snitzel could be fried better, but the chicken itself was really high quality. The fries were nothing special.

We visited on sat night for dinner. The mains came (food was fine) but sides came after and condiments didn't come for ten mins! That wasn't the issue though - the manager was so rude and unprofessional - we said we weren't v happy. We asked for another drink (which we were going to pay for!) and she said no,... More

It is a lovely old pub refurbished to show a more modern bar which in our opinion does not fit the age of the pub. We believe the proprietor owns two more pubs in Long Melford and Hadleigh and they are very similar in service and tables setting. We booked for a Valentines Dinner after seeing the special menu (Not... More

This is a pub - not a restaurant. Although surroundings were in keeping with the village, lots of beams etc., the price of the food for a lunchtime meal was completely over the top.

If you don't mind your bill being the same size as the plates they use!! Menu was just like the food Pretentious flamboyance and small If you have just over two hours just to eat lunch Then this is the place to go We left feeling robbed and hungry!

Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Absolutely loved the fact dogs were welcome as I didn't want to leave her in the car alone and the staff were very good with her. Thank you

8 of us booked in for dinner on a Sunday evening. Majority ordered full English breakfast. This was overpriced and extremely salty. Very disappointing. Exceptionally slow service also on both bar and food service. Won't be returning.

We visited last night for my birthday meal as we were staying in Lavenham for the weekend & we were not disappointed!! We had looked at the website and saw the great gin cocktails (which had impressed my partner) & the great sounding menu so decided to book. The cocktail certainly did not disappoint & the red & white wine... More

We were staying in Blaize Barn for Christmas week and decided to book The Greyhound for our Christmas Lunch. From arriving at 12.15pm and being given a glass of fizz each until we left at 4pm everything was totally perfect for us. Canapes were great, starters fantastic and the roast beef/turkey were perfectly cooked. Pudding was beautiful but we did... More

Patience is a virtue and its certainly necessary at the Lavenham Greyhound. We have visited this restaurant on several occasions and each time the speed of the service leaves much to be desired with some waiting staff appearing to not fully understand that the customer should come first. On our last visit some of our meal was burnt and had... More

Description
A fine Suffolk Pub serving a good selection of Beers and Ales, wines, spirits, artisan spirits and a large selection of soft drinks. Food is served from 10:00am until 10:00pm everyday. The menu has a large range of freshly prepared seasonal dishes using the very best suppliers. Everything from stocks and sauces, ice cream, to bread we make ourselves, we even smoke our own fish. Our menu ranges from the classics to more complex dishes. We also have a selection of small savoury dishes to share. Watch out for our daily changing specials and our very popular themed nights.
