Really enjoyable evening. Charming and attentive staff. Food was delicious and there was an open tap for pastis ricard, which I adore!

This wonderful place is an absolute gem. We were worried about eating out during Covid but the staff were so fastidious with their cleaning regime that our minds were very soon at rest. They were also exceedingly friendly and engaging. The atmosphere was relaxed and...the Christmas decorations were charming. The food was absolutely amazing and beautifully presented. After having discovered this wonderful place on the first night of a weekend away, we found ourselves eating there every day thereafter and we certainly intend to return. Each visit was such a pleasurable experience (and do try the GF brownies!) so we cannot recommend this place highly enough. Brilliant.More

We went here as a couple and found the quality of food, service, presentation and cleanliness to be fantastic. The price was much cheaper than we had expected for such high end service. The staff made us feel really welcome and went out of their...way to make our night special. Highly recommended! Top marks.More

Lovely meal with the friendliest owner/staff we’ve encountered in a restaurant for a long time. From being referred to as Mr Harrison when my husbands glass of wine was delivered to a personal goodbye using my name. It just showed they’d taken the time to...know who was dining in their restaurant. This isn’t local to us unfortunately, if it were we’d be back again and again. The food was just lovely and a really good price. It’s just a shame we couldn’t fit in dessert. I would recommend the sausage and mash with red cabbage it was amazing. My husband loved the salmon starter and his duck for main.More

Couldn’t have chosen a nicer place to celebrate the reopening of restaurants in Suffolk. A warm welcome and a delicious three course meal sent us home happy and sated. My scallop starter was melt in the mouth delicious and husband was delighted with the fish...soup. Calves liver was cooked to perfection. We both had desserts, possibly a course too far, but worth every calorie. Portions are very generous, prices most reasonable in my opinion. Staff working really hard to keep us all safe as well as happy. Not our first visit and won’t be our last.More

This is one of our favourite Aldeburgh restaurants and one we frequent regularly. We were here on the very last free evening before the latest incarceration and had a lovely time. Sam & Maxine work so hard to make everyone welcome and to prepare super...meals. They had, at great disruption, even made Jam Roly-Poly especially for me, for which I thank them, hugely. Roll on freedom, when we can go again and again.More

Dear patnowfree, Dogs are allowed in the restaurant, however it is best to ask for a table downstairs, because the upstairs is busy and your dog may not want to go upstairs. Cameron
