Eat in the café upstairs. People queue so get there early! Great Fish and Chips at a good price. Lovely welcoming staff.

We visited Aldeburgh as a group of 6 Ladies for a 50th birthday weekend. We arrived on a snowy Friday night and decided to have fish and chips to start off our weekend. The service at the takeaway was quick and the food was hot...More

Visited during the challenging "beast from east" weather and was pleasantly surprised to find it open. In "normal" times it gets very busy, I don't think you can book. The Fish & chips are generous portions and excellent.

I've used this restaurant and its associated fish and chip shop several times over the last 4 years. In that time I have never been disappointed. Staff are always friendly and they have some of the freshest fish you could wish for.

This is usually a good fish and chip shop, but, inexplicably, it was closed all afternoon during a peak holiday day over the Christmas break. Plenty of bemused customers left standing in the street. Very odd, and let's hope it's not a sign of complacency....More

Visited Aldeburgh on a blustery November Sunday in need of some sustenance and was drawn to the local fish and chip shops by that undeniably delicious aroma of salty-vinegary goodness! Unfortunately the Golden galleon failed to deliver what our hearts desired. After asking for a...More
