I have spent the weekend in Glastonbury, and returned with friends a few times over the days for drinks or /and food. The chips are lovely, and the baguette with prawns and salmon with mascapone was an absolute delight. You have a good choice of drinks, and the setting is dark and ancient looking, with mullioned stone windows and darkly... More

Visited for my birthday In January have always loved this pub and it's old ancient history..the drinks were also good..I feel that having pop music and radio one on does take away from the historic gothic atmosphere the pub has and is one of its charms. I feel like some celtic or tudor music or even classical would be better... More

I asked for liver and bacon in Yorkshire pudding. When the dishes arrived, the liver is tasted horrible and very hard and salted and the roast vegetable looks terrible. Very sad in the plate.

We popped in for a drink after reading the great reviews and loved the atmosphere and look inside. You can feel the history. Open fire, alcoves to each side with tables, music, happy people dancing and a warm welcome. You can really feel like it's a few hundred years ago. Wished we had stayed at the hotel and enjoyed hearing... More

Used to have plenty of great beer. Today they had nothing but big brewery beer. Shame as they used to be great.

Visited Glastonbury with a friend we were disappointed with the bar service uninterested bar staff and i could not pay with a MasterCard unless it was more than £10. We were guests at the hotel and could not run a tab or have a drink on our return the manager was very helpful and pointed out the licensing law due... More

Built in 1452; so stacks of history. Unfortunately playing on the wacky/weird rather than anything accurate, but my elderly mother enjoyed the atmosphere and there was a lovely fire. Lunch was dire - salmon and prawn hot baguette with chips and salad - the smoked salmon had obviously been left unwrapped in the packet, such that there was a hard... More
