We had a lovely homemade lunch at Locks Victorian tea room in Dunster. They were busy but we were sat quickly, and very covid safe with all tables etc being wiped down and hand gel available. The food was really good quality. We had warm...chicken pie with coleslaw and salad. Really tasty!More

We visited on a very hot sunny day. The tea room and gardens where both very busy. Sadly the lady that served our table wasn't very happy and needed some lessons on customer service! We were given menus that were taken off another table which...she committed to sanitize, in fact we wiped them down yourselves with our own wetwipes, this was a real let down as the Covid -19 precautions on entering the tea rooms were excellent this oversight let them down! We ordered cream teas for 3 adults and although there was a huge choice of different scones they only had one flavour of jam available. They also forgot to put any teaspoons on the tray! As I said it was a very busy afternoon but that's part off what you should expect when you're running a tea rooms in a pretty holiday village! I don't think we'll be returning any time soon!More

Warmly greeted and served, very Covid conscious, lovely quaint surroundings , delicious and large servings of daily treats. Also vegan food. Probably my favourite place in the good weather as most seating outside but they offer cover and a small indoor area which is a...delightful sort of cottage with verandah.More

We visited a couple of weeks ago and sat in the pretty garden outside. There were four of us so we ordered the Picnic/afternoon tea for four people. It was fantastic value and the food was absolutely delicious. We had a a selection of four...sandwiches (normal size, not finger ones with the crusts cust off) four large warm sausage rolls, a beautiful warm pepper quiche and a selection of four scones, jam and clotted cream. All served on lovely cake stands with drinks of our choice. It was without doubt the best picnic/afternoon tea I have ever had. There were more savoury items than sweet which for us was much better than the usual sweet overload you get with most afternoon teas. Its such a shame we dont live locally, but will definitly be back next time we are in Somerset which hopefully won't be too long. Five gold stars for Locks Tea RoomsMore

Beautiful ambience, quiet and peaceful. I loved the cream tea, but was surprised to be charged extra for a cold drink in IN PLACE OF the pot of tea. That was not made clear when ordered and was very remiss of the staff member. Otherwise,...a perfect day. I will happily return. They welcome well behaved dogs too, in their lovely, environmemtally friendly tea garden.More

A group of 4 of us came across this lovely tea room when in Dunster recently. The lady in charge found us a table in the outside section as that was all that was open at the time. We all had something different from the...menu and all the food was plenty and very tasty. Excellent value too. Happy and helpful staff, we enjoyed it very much.More

We found this lovely tea shop/garden for lunch in Dunster yesterday, just a few minutes stroll from the castle. Lovely courtyard setting, great food and good service. Highly recommended.

We visited for mid-morning drinks (luxury hot chocolate and a mocha). The drinks were very good, the service very friendly, but sadly on our visit we were the only ones there, so it lacked a little atmosphere. Hopefully, business will pick up, and it was...a very wet day.More

A really lovely tea shop. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The lunches and teas are great. I had a spiced apple drink which was a special. Delicious. A very tame Robin also loves this tea shop.
