This is an authentic feeling place. It's small rooms and rustic furniture make you feel good. We were there on a Tuesday and they only served the bar menu which has many fewer choices than the regular menu. Happily, we were in the mood for...More

We visited this pub for the first time on a day trip to Bath on a Saturday lunchtime. The food was excellent and the service couldn't be faulted. We were worried when we were directed to an upstairs room but we were the only party...More

Excellent service with our meal today. Uncharacteristically bad music like some poor man's Elliott Smith meets Dawson's Creek but that's forgiven as the beer tasted fresh and well-kept, so let's call it evens there. Burger was delicious and satisfyingly coma-inducing, and the sides all spot...More

A lovely little pub with excellent food - not too big a menu but an interesting and varied selection which was excellent quality (definitely try the Bath chaps!). Staff were friendly and attentive, and it was a great atmosphere overall. Mid range value for money...More

I've just been to the King William for dinner. First time in Bath. The food was fantastic and the staff are exceptional. It exceeded my expectations. Well worth a visit.

We walked here and had a good evening meal in the upstairs dining room. The meal is reasonable priced with a good short menu to ensure it is fresh. The staircase is exciting but Ok. the service was good without being outstanding

Just had a nice Birthday lunch. The food was very good, service excellent and a nice relaxed ambience in the back bar. The pea and broad bean risotto was the star starter. Cooked just to the right point and freshly flavoured. There was some grumbling...More

I was excited about this restaurant, the reviews were good, but it was a little bit of a disappointment. The starters were great, the scotch egg is really great. But the mains were a huge let down. I asked for a rare steak, the first...More

I honestly can't remember having more interesting and delicious food. I consider myself an experienced and borderline-expert cook, but I couldn't identify some of the herbs and roots used in the dish I was served. The combinations were fantastic. I had a risotto dish made...More

While we don't have a specific gluten free menu all of our dishes are freshly prepared from scratch and so we can adapt them as required. We have lots of gluten free customers so you'll be in good company. Looking forward to... More

Hi there, Yes we are very dog friendly in our bar areas but we don't generally allow dogs upstairs in the dining rooms. Hope this helps but if you have any other questions please give us a call on 01225 428 096. Many thanks... More

When the King William restaurant in Bath was converted from the knackered pub it used to be, it became it gastronomic hotspot for Bath-ites who adore the excellent food and relaxed setting. The ground floor is a pub, with the fine dining room upstairs, all now eclectically kitted out with in shades of mauve with antiques, chandeliers and daily blackboard specials. Seasonal, free-range, organic and local sum up the provenance perfectly, for dishes like fried squid with fennel, ruby chard and green sauce and main of fantastic braised lamb for two with herb broth, mash and local greens. Superb small-producer beers and ales and a blistering wine list crown King William a top restaurant in Bath.
