I had the Chorizo and Sausage Stew, my wife had Quiche. The portions were small starter size, the price was “bistro main course”. My stew was a particular disappointment. £10.50 for a small bowl and three thin half slices of sour dough bread (so thin...More

Inside the impressive Holburne House - a superb exhibition/museum with many events free - this cafe is worth the 300m. walk along Pulteney Street from the famous bridge and past the fountain, recognisable in many costume dramas. The food and coffee is fine, the service...More

We revisited this nice cafe with our young granddaughters following a pleasant hour in the adjacent Sydney Gardens children's play area. It was just after midday and already the cafe was beginning to fill but we found a table and also a child chair for...More

When it first opened this was a good, well run cafe. It has lost its previous high standards. A maddening system where there is one person to take the orders and payments. During the meal we decided on a second cup of coffee but there...More

Wanted a quick bite after the Breughel exhibition. Steak pie and quiche was very nice. Only quibble was top of the pie was ever so slightly overdone but nothing to spoil the meal. I think i had a peroni as well.

Went into the cafe at 4.40pm, and was told by a member of staff, that they were closed. After a long walk with children along the canal, it is really disappointing

Cannot fault the pot of builder's tea but the cakes - chocolate fudge cake & a fruit scone were terribly dry. Now, in my opinion...a chocolate fudge cake should be rich, chocolatey & with a serious layer of filling. Unfortunately, the filling here was no...More
