We often call in here with friends when walking the two tunnels railway path from Bath. Last tim we enjoyed our steak and ale pie and fish soup. Good choice of beers and cider. Bus stop to Bath nearby.

Sorry to read your review and sorry that your food was not cooked to your liking. The steaks are served with a garlic sauce, lovely handcut chips and fresh salad - we would have been happy to add onions and mushrooms if you had asked,...More

The Hope and Anchor consistently offers warm hospitality and delivers good food and a wide variety of drinks. Comfortable seating both inside and outside - the pub can get busy given its proximity to the tunnels cycle track.
