We have visited the Salamander quite a few times. Busy, friendly and great little place to stop off in the centre. Offers food and bar snacks. Definitely worth a visit - gets busy!

Service was shocking and food overpriced. Some of us finished eating before others had theirs given!

Love this place. It's sort of tucked away in a little side street. Very relaxed atmosphere we were sat opposite some students playing trivial pursuit. We didn't eat here but spent the 1st night of our honeymoon having a few drinks before going out for dinner.

So nice to see this place back on form. Great lunch menu, quick service and a warm welcome, particularly from Chris who seemed to be in charge and was doing a great job.

We went here for a drink before heading off for an early dinner. Drinks were lovely and someone sat across from us ordered chips. They looked amazing. Will be going back to try those.

Serves Bath brewery beer and a special just for the Salamander. Food good and of high quality. We visited at lunchtime when it was not crowded. Staff helpful.

The place is great. But it has nothing on the jolly fella Brian. His pouring skills need a tad improving. But his conversation is second to none. 5/7

Description
The Salamander is great city-centre pub.
'The Sally' serves good food and a fine choice of beers from Bath Ales and beyond, and welcomes a friendly, eclectic audience. It's small, it's snug but it's oh so special! The Salamander is tucked neatly away just off Queen Square in the heart of the Georgian city of Bath.
Historically a 'steak and chop house', it now consists of a well-stocked bar on the ground floor and an impressive dining room complete with galley kitchen upstairs. Using the finest produce from local suppliers, 'The Sally' is renowned for its imaginative and varied menu, available both downstairs in the bar and upstairs.
