We had a combined two-hour garden tour followed by Pimms and dinner. It was excellent. Despite the rain our garden guide Charlotte kept us interested and her knowledge was exceptional, combined with humour and warmth. Pimms was delicious - and we were allowed to wander around the plants and shop whilst drinking - and dinner was to a very high... More

Visited the restaurant after a tour of the gardens, seeing where the ingredients in my meal were produced - it doesn't get much fresher than that. I had the chicken breast with a white wine and tarragon sauce which was absolutely fantastic. I've never tasted chicken as good, and the vegetables were perfect. Since our visit during the summer my... More

Description
When you're weary of the rat race and yearn for quiet, beauty, and a great meal, then The Highgrove Restaurant, formerly the Homewood Park Restaurant, is the place for you. Just outside of Bath, overlooking ten acres of idyllic gardens, The Highgrove’s recent refurb combines classic surroundings with modern design. Original features dominate but the twee country manor look is out in favour of clean, cool lines. Head Chef Daniel Moon creates with flair and creativity, offering a range of menus from the light and healthy to the utterly indulgent, each matched with a carefully selected wine. It really is no wonder that this little piece of country heaven has been picking up awards from all corners.
