This cafe is tucked away by the river weir under Pultney Bridge. The food can be a little expensive but there are things on the menu that are fairly reasonable. Great little place to sit by the river with a cup of tea or a...More

Mediocre coffee with mediocre pastries on the bridge by the river. I guess location is enough to make everything else redundant.

I have seen this cafe transform from what was more of a hotch potch organic feeling cafe with brick work to what is now a different level altogether. It has that John Lewis feel to it due to the chosen illustrated wall paneling which is...More

Met up her for coffee with friends, sat out on the upper terrace, enjoyed some well-made and tasty coffee, and soaked up a gorgeous view. No idea what the food is like, although the scones on the next table looked lovely, but one of the...More

Lovely little cafe hidden away. Just had time for a quick coffee and lemonade. Sat outside overlooking the river, great views. Looking forward to my next trip to Bath so I can try out the delicious looking cakes.

I had brunch at the Riverside cafe twice during a short stay in Bath this September. The weather was warm and sunny the first time so we sat by the door and looked out at the bridge and the weir. We both enjoyed eggs benedict...More

Good view of the waterfall but that's about it. Loud shapeless music blaring out. No card machine. People looked in then went elsewhere. We wished we had!

A pity that the cafe closed before Christmas but it has reopened under new management. Main courses are £10 but you can select small courses from £5. If you don't want to eat a lot and want a great view of the Pulteney Bridge and...More

It says the restaurant has closed, but it was open when we recently visited in April 2016. Excellent service, the only serve drinks on a Monday until 11am due to cleaning, but were more than happy to offer to cook us a full English for...More

We visited on the fourth day after re-opening with the new proprietors from Salisbury trying different menus as they find their feet and their audience. Three small plates for £12 hit the spot - scotch eggs really are a "must try" and smoked salmon on...More

There's parking on the road on Great Pultenay street and Henrietta street. Alternatively the multi storey on Walcott street. On street is pricey but is free on Sundays!

Thank you for your observations. Yes we are a small independent and one minute we can have a few customers and 5 minutes later full up! This is why we have a food only policy at busy times usually 10-11.30 then 12-3.30 at... More
