Small and cozy place blessed with a creative chef who knows how to make vegetarian food interesting. We especially liked the Jerusalem artichoke starter, the cauliflower main the the rhubarb dessert. Have the rhubarb dessert!! Staff was very nice too.

From start to finish our dining experience was superb. The place has a lovely, relaxed and simple atmosphere. Our welcome was warm and our service unobtrusive. We both opted for the 3 course lunch menu which was good value for money but more importantly absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are perfect, leaving you full but not uncomfortable. Make sure you... More

I wanted to love the Acorn - I really did. I'd bought my other half a day's cookery course at Demuth's, so what better way to round off our vegetarian day than seeing 'how the pros do it'? Unfortunately, this part of the day fell flat, with my partner much preferring the food she'd made with Demuth's earlier that day.... More

Ate with 2 old friends this week. Food was beautifully presented and tasty but portions were soooo tiny - even though I had 2 courses where normally I would only have one, but I should have had a third. Very expensive for the amount of food but I suppose it is Bath so business rates would be high..

Ate here one quiet Weds evening as a couple. The atmosphere was good, décor OK, service good and the food tasted really good but plates were a little cold (at least not hot) and portion size was a little meagre..... £84 was a big bill for two people having two courses each and nothing a little side stodge of roasted/sautéed... I imagine the chef as an artist displaying his works which are visually very impressive. However the food served is micro-portions which make not attempt at sustenance. You will need to go find somewhere to eat after visiting this restaurant. Friendly service and nice decor.

Recently went here for the set lunch menu. Everything we tried was excellent - clearly a lot of time and effort has gone into each dish. The portions weren't enormous but the 3 course meal was satisfying. The presentation of each plate was beautiful. The restaurant seems very popular - even on a Friday lunchtime it was pretty full, so... More

The food and service were lovely. It is so nice to have so much vegetarian choice and such excellent and innovative dishes. Don't expect to satisfy a lumberjack's appetite here, though, unless you order all the trimmings.

Just arrived in Bath and needed some food on a drairy, rainy Monday. We are not vegetarians but we love vegetables so we went to Acorn. We loved every bite! The food was brilliant, a suprise after suprise. Plates were beuatifully filled and everything was done with love and care. I was cold, hungry and grumpy and left happy and... More
