I took my parents out for tea on Sunday, to an old favourite haunt I used love the Old House as was, now the Devonshire. We were pleasantly surprised by the new revamped look of the place. Loved the Victoriana meets 50’s diner feel. The...More

Bang average Sunday dinner. Plus points - beef was decent and the Yorkshire pudding was ok. Complimentary soup. Decent pint of IPA. However - cauliflower wasn’t cauliflower cheese as advertised. Roast potatoes were underdone and underwhelming (although replaced without fuss). Roast veg was also sadly...More

A great job on the refurbishment which is totally different to how it was before. The neons/lights are very unique. It was great to get a serving of Iberico Ham at midnight - not what I expected for Sheffield! Service was great and fantastic to...More

We have visited this establishment many times as the old house. We visited today after receiving several emails telling us about the rebrand. Initially it looked okay but lost some of its character. We ordered drinks, the price of which has definitely increased. They took...More

Really nòt impressed with the bland new look. The Old House used to be both quirky and atmospheric.. now it's had a "corporate" style makeover that has sadly sucked the soul out of it..I might as well be in a Harvester! Crossed off my list of...More

Came to take my parents out for lunch. Place not busy but service slow. Drinks expensive. We ordered our food and were told that some of the salads to go with the quiche were not available. The only other alternative offered to the salads my...More

A new venture with the design of an eclectic Georgian townhouse. The Devonshire is an all-day bar and eatery in the heart of Sheffield City Centre on Devonshire Street. We are here to be enjoyed throughout the day, be it for your first coffee of the day, brunch with friends or a leisurely dinner. Our modern British menu combines local, fresh and seasonal ingredients and is not to be missed. Our gin & vermouth menu is made up of a selection of what we love and the same goes for our cocktail, beer & wine lists - in a nutshell, we have it all. Treat yourself to a late night tipple throughout the week and on weekends enjoy our resident DJ's on until 3AM, every Friday & Saturday.
