Having experienced the fabulous Wednesday curry night and then the Friday night fish and chips, decided to try the Sunday lunch. Fabulous lunch, great selection of vegetables and roast crispy potatoes that were out of this world. If you get a far as the pudding, then you are a piggy! Great friendly service and nothing is too much trouble. I... More

Popped in for the steak night (Thursday) and got 2 steak dinners and bottle of wine for £30. Bargain!! Was the best steak we've had in ages, great chips and good service. Looking forward to going again in the new year

This is our Wednesday night 'must'. Curry to die for, always a choice and service is great. Have even sneaked in for the fish and chips on a Friday night, I defy anyone to have tasted better. Grit value and quality. Lovely staff and a good banter in the bar is always going on.

I'm spending more time in my homelands visiting my aging mother, so am revisiting old haunts of my youth. The Queens Head has changed beyond recognition. Mum and I were looking for a pub for lunch open on Mondays (strangely rare in these parts) and decided to give the Queens Head a go. That day Mum had Veggie sausages and... More

I came with my family for a Sunday roast. We didn't have to wait long and when the roast dinner was huge. My sister and I had huge slices of chicken while my dad had beef with a massive size of yorkshire pudding. the roast potatoes were to die for: very crispy and yet soft inside! a huge amount of...
