Location and contact

Just like our award winning restaurant, Bristol Lido, Thames Lido bar and restaurant is Reading's new venue for unpretentious dining with a strong Spanish and Mediterranean feel. The open kitchen and wood burning ovens and bespoke charcoal grill add to the drama created by the Grade 2 listed outdoor pool and surrounding buildings. We are open to all for breakfast, tapas, lunch and dinner.

We used to belong to the diving club that used the building Thames Lido now has renovated. It was interesting wandering around trying to spot various bits of the old club but for most visiting that history is secondary. We purchased Freddy Birds 'Bird Food'...More

This review is for the restaurant and not the Spa, though my firiends and I did take advantage of the Swim/Lunch package which for £40 person is tremendous value. This does not include drinks or service charges. The restaurant is facing the pool with a...More

Decided to try the Lido when my sister was over from France. We sat in the sun which was nice, and enjoyed the surroundings. We ordered some green tea as no other drink appealed. After waiting for quite a while for service we eventually got...More

Quite busy but still managed to retain a relaxed atmosphere. The menu isn’t extensive but the food as lovely and the staff are happy to offer advice if requested. Would happily visit again.

An interesting place with the restaurant arranged alongside the pool. Great friendly staff greeted us and the food was very good, clearly a popular place as it was packed. The Crab Starter and the Hake main course particularly good. I look forward to returning to...More

Hi, yes it is - they try to keep the temperature at between 24 and 26 degrees, I think. That is cooler than most pools in the UK, but for swimming it’s perfect.
