Very good service, the place is also very nice. Menu is alright, there is mainly fish and not much to choose from. Food is good but very expensive. Deserts are not very good. We ordered chocolate fondant but no one liked it.

Visited on a Saturday night for dinner with my lovely wife. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and staff are just the right side of attentive. We arrived early but were seated straight away. Food wise we both had the steak which was perfectly cooked and tasted absolutely fantastic so i highly recommend it. If i had one minor complaint... More

I had an absolutely delightful afternoon tea and would highly recommend this place. The woman who greeted me was very friendly and helpful. The staff were lovely, friendly and efficient. The tea, sandwiches and scones were fantastic (fresh and tasty)! The ambiance and decor are very comfortable. This was the best afternoon I ever had in the UK ! Thank... More

Oxford is a timeless place, but most restaurants are suited to student budgets. If your wallet allows for a bit more, then the bar and grill at the Old Parsonage Hotel would be a great treat.the setting is full of English country charm. The building could be a period movie set. The food was all very good. I started with... More

We went for high tea on an especially gloomy afternoon and had a fantastic time! The place was full of people enjoying themselves. And everything about the service was lovely, ranging from the beautiful tea service to the three-tiered tray on which the little sandwiches and pastries were arranged. So much fun!

Beautiful building in the center of Oxford. I didn't stay at the hotel but rather attended a business dinner there. We were ideally located in a semi-private alcove of the restaurant. Fine portrait art and great cuisine with a touch of refinement. Only downside was the bench-sitting that was, the like the regular chairs btw, really low and made you... More

We had birthday dinner in the restaurant of The Old Parsonage on Saturday night. The dining room is a supremely comfortable space, in the old part of the building, painted a soothing charcoal grey, with gorgeous early 20th C paintings and drawings beautifully framed and arranged. There are perhaps a tad too many tables for perfect comfort, but if you... More

Four of us went here last night to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had not been for some years because parking is always a bit of an issue (tiny car park). However, because we had booked for an early dinner at 7.00 pm, we were able to park easily. I was disappointed that no one offered to take our coats... More

Having frequented many restaurants in Oxford, but wanting to find a more upmarket option to take guests on a special occasion, booked a table for 7 people, and on arrival were delighted to find that we seating in the Pike Room. The food was excellent and fairly priced given the quality and the service was attentive but unobtrusive. The house... More
