Just went for a meal with my wife. Ordered the steak meal. Had to ask the “friendly American waitress for sauce” no reply “ brought me back cold sauce” told her it’s cold” no reply “ brought me back very bland sauce” Received soup with...More

Exactly the kind of gastropub which provides a perfect counterpart to a real local drinking pub. We have both cheek by jowl in lower wolvercote, which is great news. I often go for coffee after a walk, but on this occasion went for a leisurely...More

Still a good place to get breakfast but something missing this time around. The bar staff didn’t seem to want to leave the bar to deliver coffees, and maybe as it was a little quiet we could hear everything they were saying and some of...More

Went here for drink, wished we’d stayed for dinner! Cosy, romantic pub, dog friendly, staff friendly and capable. Lovely place!

Very nice pub. Nice comfy chairs to sit in. We ordered from the pub rather than restaurant as we were very comfortable. Good food and service

We couldn’t get into the Trout as we hadn’t thought to book, so found that this was nearby. We were wanting a late traditional Sunday lunch around 4pm. Our welcome in the dining room wasn’t very warm as they pondered whether they could fit us...More

We just turned up at about 7 pm and were able to sit outside without too much of a problem. You can call ahead but they only book the tables inside (I think). Amazing food, you will love it.
