Went here as had heard about it through the grapevine. Basically it was ok but wasn't blown away by the food, it was average and just ok. Was below expectations and won't go back.

We were passing on a cold snowy morning and dived in with an infant for some breakie! We had a very warm welcome with the fires roaring and quick, tasty and very friendly service. Thank you for making our morning and for your wit and...More

Considering the high end clientele in this pub, the staff weren't dressed smart at all! We were huddled around like sheep before shown to our table, the service was poor & slow & there was no indication or mention of being charged 'service charge (you...More

My goodness! I have to be honest, I wasn't actually sure you'd have the brass neck to write a review, after your behaviour. I don't feel it's necessary to go into details regarding your novella above, beyond it makes good reading: grammar slightly off, but...More

This is exceptionally strange behaviour, which we haven't encountered before, hence having to involve the police. I, and I think all who were there on that service, remain perplexed, confused and a little affronted. I was reaching the conclusion that perhaps you'd had a bad...More

Can't speak highly enough of the warmest and most helpful welcome on a very cold night - super quality both room and breakfast.

We went to this restaurant on valentine's day. A quick google will tell you Jay Raynor reviewed this place and spoke highly of it. That was in 2008. Ten years has made a decade of difference. The decor is drab and dark, nothing like a...More

We regularly bring work visitors here for a nice meal - but no more, after the last few visits. Brought a group of visitors a couple of weeks ago, and was quite embarrassed. Over the last year the quality of the cooking has gone from...More

I stayed here for one night whilst working at the John Radcliffe hospital. Arrived to find a room full of goodies and lovely touches, just what you need after a 5 hour journey. It was an absolute delight. I ate in the restaurant in the...More
