We visited here yesterday over Sunday lunch whilst picking up our daughter from University. I sat at a table outside whilst the others went inside to order the food and my wife chose "the beef dish" for me. Meal was reasonable at the price point...More

In the city center, featuring a stunning historic ceiling with room to sit inside or outside (when the weather is OK). Price/quality rating is good, but it can be very busy at noon.

Found this on Tripadvisor, was looking for eateries that offer gluten free as hubby is coeliac. It not only offered comfort for him but also myself. The scones with jam and clotted cream were to die for. Coffee was great and had a great conversation...More

The black coffee tastes like water....no, specifically, coffee flavoured water. The scone is ridiculously large, as large as chess burger from MacDonald's. It is not fresh as well. When I was cutting the scone, I felt that I was cutting a piece of wood. Due...More

The food here is good, filling food but imaginative as well. Good choice of variety of healthy meals, the hearty soups are particularly good. If you are lucky with the weather there is plenty of seating outside with great views of the surrounding colleges and...More

What a great location and very interesting café set inside an old church. Good service and the coffee and cake were excellent. It is very busy and the long tables give the place a slightly unusual atmosphere - personally I would prefer individual tables, but...More

Housed in a building from 1320, this little eatery has a limited menu but the food was lovely, prices very reasonable and staff friendly.

OK, so maybe only one of the most beautiful. If you want to eat outside then better wait till the afternoon when the sun comes round a bit. Either way, the tea and scones are top drawer.

We went to this quirky and charming cafe for lunch after reading the recommendations on Trip Advisor. We were impressed with everything about this cafe. The choice of menu was good, the generous portion of organic beef casserole we both chose was absolutely delicious. The...More

Hi ,as one of Oxfords TOP TEN Cafe's on trip advisor. I wonder if I could ask you for a little charity? I am starting a project to give all the Oxford Homeless Street Sleepers( we have often over 20 each night that cant get a hostel or indoor place to sleep ) a hot water bottle. Would your staff be willing to give someone facing a dangerously cold night sleeping on oxford's pavements some hot water? I envisage giving you a spare bottle so you could just exhange an empty one each time? Any kindly supporting businesses will be featured on my new FB page Heat on the street ( Oxford) Kindest Regards Helen

Yes we should be able to arrange supporting you My main concern would be to only have a short time window when we could offer this service, which would be at closing time for example 6-7pm this would also allow them to... More
