Been a long time since of been. Today had the beef and quince and the chicken and mushroom stews. Also had vegetarian korma and goats cheese soufflé on offer. All good food and coffee. Dog friendly

Don't miss out on this venue, delicious teas (we had fresh ginger and lemon, superb) and the best tasting coffee I bought in Oxford over two days. The food is delightful, as are the cakes either to follow it as an afternoon snack. The inside...More

This cafe is in a mediaeval ecclesiastical vault with the original stone ceiling still visible. The food and coffee is very nice, (try the rarebit) but as it’s Oxford it’s a little pricey.

I have been here several times now and always love to come back. Nestled in the cellar of a church it’s an atmospheric, charming place typical of Oxford. Great veggie and vegan options and delicious desserts. Cafeteria style self-service means you can see what you...More

We had brunch here during our stay in the city - it's in a lovely room and has a great outdoor seating area. It's not luxury by any means but the food was good and the setting alone makes it worth a quick trip.

Spent a lovely half hour or so here with my wife on a sunny October afternoon. We sat outside in the grave yard, but the interior is quite spectacular. Sadly the menus posted at the entrance bore no relation to what was actually available so...More

Such a great, and unique place in Oxford! There are not many cafés that were built in the 1300s, that also happen to serve a fantastic selection of tea's, scones, cakes, etc. I feel the price is fair and I enjoyed the traditional environment of...More

This is one of the best tea houses I’ve ever frequented in America or the UK. It’s a charming edifice entwined in the center of the colleges. Wonderful tea. Really fragrant and perfectly steeped. Large delicious scones served with clotted cream, butter and several choices...More

We drove into the city centre and parked in Gloucester Green (?). It was expensive though at £14 for 6 hours but it was very convenient for the centre.
