Had a really good meal in a warm and friendly atmosphere with very good service. However, the seating was very uncomfortable with the seats having very little back support. I would say we are both tall which obviously made a difference.
Superb pies, with a Gluten Free potato topped option for me. The staff are knowledgeable and welcoming. The pub has two fires that keep the rooms at a nice temperature. Will be visiting again for their Sunday lunch soon.
This is a pub/restaurant with more emphasis on the latter nowadays, but still has a great cosy saloon bar. The food is generally excellent and good value, and the restaurant has loads of charm and character.

Went New Years Eve for food stayed most of the afternoon/ early evening delicious food and nice cosy astmosphere with real fire
Went on a sunday afternoon, had the game pie. All in all very good, service was friendly and the pub is quirky, although the low ceiling was a bit of a pain for a tall lad! would recommend
