Another Nottingham must see! A pub with a canal running through it! This place has lots and lots of real ales - you will not be able to try them all, there are just too many! Food is also available here - well worth it if you are peckish!

On a sunny day this is one of my favourite bars. Went last week with a group of friends from work and we struck lucky with the weather. Brilliant selection of craft beers, huge fridge selection and lots on the taps too. The interior is really cool what with having to go over an internal bridge where a canal boat... More

On the canal with lots of outside seating. We just stopped for drinks and it was a pleasant place to sit. Lots to see such as boats going by, ducks fighting and people walking along the bank opposite. My husband found the drinks a bit pricey but said they have a very good selection of beers, The outside sitting area... More

Friday night visit, later in the evening. Love the ambience and unique layout. Student night nearby meant younger clientele than other evenings, but not raucous and doorstaff visible and managing venue well. Prices not bad for a City Centre and decent selection. First pint wasn't great, bit flat and tasteless. I've drunk this before and I know it wasn't right.... More

Visited The Canalhouse on a very sunny Saturday afternoon. Sat outside on one of the many outdoor tables. Didn't have to wait to be seated, just went and found a table. Nice chilled space with a busy atmosphere. The indoor area also looked spacious but also had a great big canal boat running through the bar that you had to... More

It was a great night and well received by all. The perfect venue for a private function ideal for all ages for this 50th party Bash. A small bar managing the demands really well, job well done.

Love this place. Always eat here at least once when in Nottingham. Daily specials are always interesting, new and varied. Staff are polite and attentive. Food is delicious. This place is busy but not crowded. Lots of seating inside and out. Heaters are on when needed. Part of the decor is a barge in a lock and a bridge over looking... More

A great bar with a friendly and comfortable feel to it. Vast choice of drinks. Food looked nice so we will definitely be going in to sample it next time we are in nottingham.

We got married at the Council House and then the reception at the Canalhouse. We had our reception for around 50-60 people. Staff friendly and very helpful. Great choice of drinks. Food was to an exceptional standard. We were in the function room upstairs and even though a massive football gathering in the main bar downstairs you could not hear... More
