This bar and bottle shop is a must for any beer fan. They have a huge, well selected and very well priced range, superb food and a very atmospheric venue. Never one to disappoint!

Have been here before but never eaten, so we went out of our way to make sure we came for lunch. This place is always busy, i remember last time we came in we could only get seats at the bar. This time we got even luckier, the place was full but as we looked for a table a group... More

Floor to ceiling beer / ales from around the world! You are spoiled for choice and the staff really know what they are talking about! My only wish is that the delivered to Newcastle or opened a store there 😜

We visited late on a busy Friday night, at around 10.30. The place was packed out and we struggled to find a seat, until a couple vacated and we managed to squeeze on a bench up the corner! My friends and I all had the strawberry beer which was fine. We had expected that the place would have a fun... More

Sorry you found it dreary. We really are a social talking place rather than loud dancing place. It is completely different every night depending on how loud and lively the other customers are and what group you are sat in. Bring some friends down next time and drink the gin, ask the staff to put on a few of your... More

This is very much an off-licence. Yes the choice is second to none if you stick to that. However the "pub" upstairs is dreadful and you should avoid it at all costs. The "pub" is nothing more than an ordinary loft. The choice of beers is poor. This is nothing more than a tourist trap in the heart of York... More

Sorry you didn't like the clientele, you came to York during the Easter holidays, maybe try us when towns a little quieter, we have a very loyal local client base. We stock over 800 ales available to drink upstairs, there's over 150 ales upstairs of which our current menu includes Beavertown, Verdant, Deya, Marble, Thornbridge, Wild Beer, Northern Monk plus... Called here for a couple of afternoon drinks. A unique bar with quirks such as the wild boar pelt on the wall. Worth a vivid. I had a pint of verdant bloom, not cheap but worth it.

Excellent place with regards to the interior, good food and decent beer selection on tap. They also offer shots of outrageously strong beers. If you're a beer connaisseur the shop on the ground floor is the real gem here though, possibly the best I've seen around.

This can be a difficult place to find , the access is via a shop from selling beers. Make your way to the Ye olde starre pub, there is a large sign which goes all the way across the road some fifteen, five mteres, above head height witht he olde starre name on it, the House of TTM, is twenty...
