Wow is all I can say about this place. The batter (gluten free) was light and crispy. The fish (haddock) was creamy and succulent. The chips were amazing as were the homemade mushy peas and tartare sauce! They even provided Gluten Free vinegar. This place is...More

Not sure what it is about whitby but the fish and chip prices are rather higher then other seaside places i visit. I know its just a day out to enjoy but it would be costly for a family. Saying that the fish standard size...More

After parading up and down the seafront in Whitby and looking at more rock and Dracula memorabilia than I like to admit, it was time for lunch. It had to be fish and chips. We made our way to The Quayside as it looked very...More

21 extremely happy year 7s. Cracking value for money. What a perfect venue for a school trip lunch. Every single student made positive comments. The three staff were very happy too 😃

We called in for fish and chips on a day visit to Whitby. I have been to this restaurant before and it has always been nice. Staff were friendly and we were seated with no incidence. Some of the tables and chairs are a bit...More

Despite all the award stickers on the window and doors the food was average. Haddock chewy and bland, mushy peas looked as if they were from a tin bread and butter supposed to be from a local baker but could have been a supermarket loaf....More

Had regular cod and chips, it was plenty big enough. There is a takeaway or a sit in restaurant, this is where we ate. Staff very friendly and efficient. The batter on the cod was so light and crispy, portion was great, no too many...More

As it was raining on our day trip to Whitby we decided that eating in was a more prudent option than take away. My friend and I had a small fish and chips, bread and butter and mushy peas. The fish was lovely and white...More

In your window, it says you are child friendly, yet you ask parents to fold buggies. As a parent of a child who is too young to use a high chair (8 weeks old) it seems we weren't welcome. Can you clarify your 'child friendly' sign please? Does it not include babies?

I'm treating my new love to a trip to Whitby next weekend, and thought a fish & chip meal appropriate. My new partner however has an aversion to fish fried with the skin on. I'm not too keen either. Are your fish fried with or without?
