£13.60 for 2 pints of Black Sheep and a bag of mini cheddars!! 😱 Great location but feel the price of drinks is far too high....sadly won't be returning

Super friendly , convivial relaxed atmosphere. Bar staff helpful- we phoned after misusing out at The Stiddy up the hill and they said just come along - we will fit you in . They did .. Food hot and homely - the chicken tikka and...the lasagne were v generous portions . Black sheep ale on tap . It has upstairs seating too . New car park just up valley - p and d but not expensive. Value for money J reckon , all round .More
Nothing to shout about. Average pub, serving average food (starters and mains) and average beer. Not too much competition locally, so that might explain it. Food and drinks are a little bit pricey for the standard of quality. The only exception was the ice-cream sundae,...which was really good quality, plenty of it and good value for money. Total score is 3.5 out of 5 (an extra half point because of the ice-cream sundae).More
Had a lovely meal at this traditional British pub. We ate downstairs in the bar. The mussels were gorgeous and the steak and dressed crab really well prepared. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
We had been recommended the Hart Inn at Sandsend by our son in law who has been quite a few times. It did not disappoint. The waitresses were attentive, friendly and lovely. The meals outstanding and good value. Pints were a bit expensive at £5.20...a pint but we only had one with our meal anyway. Starters we chose were scallops, prawn cocktail and fried Brie. All well presented and delicious. Mains we had Prawn and dressed crab salad and a Sunday roast massive plates of delicious food 10/10 Total bill came to £100.85 We would absolutely recommend.More
We had booked a table. The tables are spaced apart and the whole place was set up to be very Covid safe. Re food came quite quickly, was well-cooked and well presented. The portions are large so are great value for money. The service was...excellent, nothing was too much trouble. There are two areas for sitting outside for drinks after your meal which are both lovely attractive areas.More
Took three days to get a table booked here but well worth it, huge portions , had a starter but really the main meal would of been enough, staff friendly and welcoming.
Lovely helpful Staff, Lovely place, food was excellent and great value. I had a huge Lobster that was delicious, my friend had haddock that was the biggest I had ever seen on a plate, hanging over at both ends, the men had lovely steaks, no...complaints we ate here twice and would of been back but fully booked, there is a nice outside seating area also.More
Following a disappointing meal at the Raithwaite Estate we booked into the Hart Inn for an evening meal. The food was excellent and really good value, the staff were brilliant, especially the young lady who served us. This Inn is a must if you are...in the area. Doug and Sue.More
The barmaid with short red hair was absolutely appalling she was rude and abrupt and the customer service in this place is disgusting. We left within 5 mins do not go !!!!
Brilliant food at very reasonable prices with excellent friendly service. Despite being busy the service was quick. The new beer garden at the rear is pleasant.
3 sunday dinners and the steak pie dish went down a treat. Comfy, cosy pub. Had to wait for a table but one available after 10 mins. Highly recommend the above dishes.
All things considered probably one of the easy coasts best pubs. Dog friendly, great vibe that attracts the right people. Love the place. Excellent traditional pub. Ruby loves the place too. 👍👍👍
The 9 of us enjoyed our range of fish dishes consumed. Although the haddock and chip portion beat one of us!
Beautiful food and atmosphere all the staff are attentive and the choice of drinks as good as anywhere But the food is the real star our sharing platter was gorgeous and beautifully presented, the wine crisp and chilled I would highly recommend this place and will...be back at ChristmasMore
