I've been fortunate to visit this cracking restaurant several times, however, lately we've tried to get Tapas on Friday's but it's been so busy and booked up we went on to their cancellation list! Last friday we got THE call! wooohooo! So, once again Friday night was Tapas Night and the luvly Teare Woods . . . under strict orders... More

Visited here on Sunday and we will definitely be returning! The food was beautiful, lovely tasty sandwiches. I had the chicken and bacon club sandwich, which was served with a scrumptious runny egg; just how I like it. The service was particularly good, lovely, friendly staff who were helpful and very cheerful! We even returned for an ice cream after... More

A friend had her hen party in here. About 26 of us, booked in for tapas, the food was delicious and service you couldn't fault. The staff did very well to get everyone's food out in a reasonable time, all cooked perfect. Will definitely be going back in. Well worth a second visit 😊

I came here for lunch with my sister for my birthday in March and had one of the best fishfinger sandwiches I had ever eaten. Followed by the second best cheesecake I have ever had the pleasure of sampling (my own being the best😉) I was so impressed with the food, the atmosphere and the lovely warm and welcoming staff... Called in here for lunch on a rainy day. Glad we did it’s a lovely place really clean and comfortable, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. All the food was delicious, I’ve got to comment on the Spanish coldslaw my husband resisted it at first, tried it and loved it.

This is the kind of place that we would love to own and run. The hot food smelt amazing (we had aready eaten or would have centrainly had more than ice cream)( the soup seemed to arrive at another table in a bowl the size of a couldron!) Ice cream was delcious and tasted of the flavour, quality stuff! Tapas... More

Looking for a light lunch in Whitby during the Goth weekend. Mother-in-law in tow, she has real difficulty walking. Popped into Teare Wood's which is a bit of an odd name but all of us were mightily impressed by freshly made sandwiches, huge pot of tea and fantastic cakes. More importantly the staff were such a delight even on such... More

We arrived in Whitby ready for some lunch, we walked past a few places that didn't really take our fancy and we didn't want fish & chips (we were saving ourselves for tea time!) so when we walked past Teare Wood's it was nice to see 'normal' lunches being served. Only a small place but we got a table straight... More
