I booked a table here for my husband on his birthday, we are foodies and decided to give this place a go as never been before. It's cute, very small and intimate. Staff were lovely and the wine was nice. It's a set menu and...More

Such a lovely restaurant, it seats around 20, on a lovely cobbled street. Bishops leads the way in service, headed by Alex, the owner. The dishes are always elegant and expertly prepared. Traditional fine dining without feeling out of touch. You always leave wanting to...More

My wife and I dined here on a special weekend away. The service and food were superb. In particular the bread was perhaps the best we had tasted : fennel and herbs - wonderful. The waiter even brought us more when we said how lovely...More

Hadn't been to Bishops for a short while and booked well in advance as clearly busy and popular. Drinks at the bar with complimentary habas Fritas and Olives followed by starters of Crab rillette and Lamb fillet. The crab dish was rich and delicious and...More

Bishop's competes for being the best restaurant in Norwich in my opinion. Intimate dining room. Great wine. Delicious food made from locally sourced produce. An excellent option for dinner. You do need to book and they are full fairly frequently (unsurprisingly).

We decided to give Bishops a try on the basis of other reviews. When we arrived we were asked to order a drink at the very small bar area (with 4/5 people already there, there is nowhere to sit) because our table wasn't ready, although...More

Bearing in mind the other reviews, that I ate here four years ago and was happy and it's position on trip advisor I am really disappointed and feel a bit ripped off! We had a table for two on a Saturday night and both had...More

Just a short note to say I liked your review of Bishops - Norwich. Refreshingly honest without being nasty which I liked. Am visiting tonight (first time there) and will post a review tomorrow. I will pay particular attention to the owner. Regards JFH. . Ps. Surprised you haven't posted a review of Stoke Mill - that really is my favourite. (If you visit - be warned - the co-owner is somewhat quirky but a genuinely tremendous host. Best wishes.

As other replies reflect, there are small differences in the floor levels between the bar/entrance area and restaurant and between the restaurant and the loos. For someone less mobile, I don't think it would be a... More
