I love Balan's in Soho because for one it's number 5 on the Food Hygiene Level, this is very important to me...I always check the hygiene rating if every restaurant before I go and if it ain't a 5, I won't usually go near it...More

Had fish & chips and the IPA being served (very citrussy) complemented it perfectly! Worth a visit if in Clapham.

Went here on a Friday @ 1:30pm, a advance booking of four people, so I requested a booth in the back. From the moment we arrived, we had a marvellous time. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food and drink were delicious....More

This was our first visit to balans, and we'll certainly be back. Restaurant was busy and everyone enjoyed a LGBT pride. The menu was quiet expensive with so much choice. We were wondering what to try. This is where the waiter Marik really came into...More

Good atmosphere. Attentive staff. Clean, bright modern cafe restaurant. Full English breakfast for 10 quid. But doesn't come with drink which is ordered separately. Nice and relaxing place for breakfast. Busy and popular. Good for with family, with friends, or just solo. Highly recommend

Balans Soho is a required stop every time we visit London and we have never been disappointed. The service is smart and friendly, the food is constantly excellent, the portions are substantial and the prices are reasonable. Our server, Marek was personable and made sure...More

I adore Balans, it remains one of my favourite places worldwide. I visited tonight, after Pride, with friends for food and drinks. As normal service and food/drinks were up to a high standard. However I am devastated at the recent 'refurb'. By taking away the...More

The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho
hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a
compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars,

Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene –
and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping

Not for the fainthearted, Balans Soho Society is a place to indulge. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and after-dark activities in the company of fellow bon vivants. It's a café, a restaurant, a bar, a member's establishment and definitely a place where rules are made to be broken. And it's all done in the spirit of Soho - the iconic corner of London that has always acted as a refuge for outsiders: minorities, eccentrics, bohemians, dreamers...people drawn together by a shared conviction that normal rules don't apply to them. A place to go when you feel like doing things you probably shouldn't. We are Balans Soho Society and we live by the philosophy that too much of a good thing is a GOOD THING, the best plan is NO PLAN and that the pursuit of pleasure is a noble one. Even if the pleasure itself might not be. Let us banish the jobsworth, the wet blanket, the killjoy. Those who are easily shocked should be shocked more often. LET CURTAINS TWITCH. All hail the rogue, the rascal and the reprobate. We have a way of dealing with outsiders: INVITE THEM IN for a drink.
