Nicely decorated interior. Good choice of food and drinks, and pleasant staff. Prices are reasonable and well presented dishes.

Mothering Sunday Banquet at The Tower Tandoori is quite possibly one of the best I've been to in years! Fantastic choice of food at the buffet and the items were different to what you would normally expect yet super scrumptious!! There were 12 of us, so a big thanks to the team for all their help and for taking the... More

Thought we'd try our local Indian restaurant but big mistake... yes, the food was tasty and well cooked however it was expensive and the staff pushed the most expensive meals. We were charged over £14 for chutney and sundries and even for the takeaway bag !! I was shocked ... plus a mandatory 12.5% service charge. We ended up paying... More

Had a smashing meal as ever - chicken tikka and onion bahji (always good!) to start followed by the classic thali for the main course - one each. Full of flavour and really tasty and excellent naan bread too. Staff all really friendly and attentive and place was busy and always has a good vibe. Great spot and always have... More

Having lived in the area for around 6 years we've seen restaurants come and go. This one has stuck it out and it's brilliant. Smashing food and the closest to what we tasted on our trips to India, so to us it feels authentic. The staff are incredibly friendly and work hard to make sure you have a good meal,... More

I've been coming fairly regularly for the last 18months and I love it. The service here is phenomenal, and the waiters are extremely attentive. I've had nothing but good experiences, and can strongly recommend the Goan Goat Curry.

Looking at all the previous reviews, maybe they had a bad day... I had two very basic curries and I questioned the quality of the meat and the seasoning of the food. We didn't finish the food and I mentioned to the manager that we didn't enjoy the food. He advised me that he's been doing this for "40 years"... More

Description
Tower Tandoori is the oldest Indian restaurant in Bermondsey and still uses a traditional, charcoal-fired tandoor lit in 1978 and still smouldering! Established in the same site on Tower Bridge Road and run by the same family for 30 years, the Indian tandoori cuisine at Tower Tandoori is truly refined. Recently refurbished with an interior design inspired by the shady, serene courtyards of Indian Palaces, Tower Tandoori's menu has also had an overhaul. The Head Chef has drawn his inspiration from the great traditions of the Moghul Empire and blended them with the best of Indian and English cuisine developed over the last 30 years. Tower Tandoori offers al fresco dining during the summer season and there is a fully-stocked bar with an extensive selection of international wines, beers, cocktails and Indian beverages. The restaurant is also available for private dining, family gatherings and special occasions such as birthdays, corporate events and product launches.
