This is not the best Indian that I have ever been to, but it is certainly not the worst, either. Chicken Madras not that hot, and wife's chicken Byriani rather tasteless. Soft drinks rather expensive, too. Lovely onion bhajis, however, and the naan was good. Food reasonably priced for what it was. I would go back there.

Went here on my own, after a long session at Goldsmiths College. Cold, tired and hungry, a curry seemed an ideal prospect. Shown to a table, ordered a soft drink (flat diet coke, out of a plastic bottle) and puppadoms. When the main meal arrived, it was very nice indeed. I have had better, but the onion bhajis were very... More

I've been here for dinner with a friend and ordered a chicken tikka jalfrezi. I'm really not an expert of Indian food I must say, but I liked it: tasty, spicy (hot) and not too heavy. Main course with two naans and a lassi came to about £13, reasonably priced. The atmosphere was quite relaxed and staff efficient.

Had a takeaway from here, was pretty disappointed. I don't have takeouts very often, so was really looking forward it. Korma was a weird texture, and they were very stingy on the chicken (the chicken I did get was dry and tasteless) and the sauce separated. The pilau rice smelled weird and had a powdery texture. The naan bread was... More

I actually had my food delivered to my home, but the food was so bad, I can't imagine, going the the restaurant and experiencing the ambiance will help the food taste any better. To my shock and horror, the food arrived in plastic containers that are sealed with a plastic film, which makes the food look microwave ready. Aside from... More

Nice staff, OK if you are happy eating Indian sauces from a jar. Probably the worst prawn pathia I've ever had. Suspect they'd scurried across the street to Iceland for the sauce.

great food, nice staff, friendlich atmosphere. We had a starter, spice chicken and lamb. We like the idea to bring our own wine (they are not licenced). I really reccomend this place, good prices.

This is a real little gem in New Cross (opposite Deptford Town Hall) with decent great food and nice staff. Varied menu - never had a bad meal here. A varied crowd to be found here too, from students to people out of the gym to more mature diners, families, very casual. Bring your own alcoholic drinks, but soft drinks... More

I go here every couple of weeks and LOVE it! So cheap so delicious and byob. The cooking is not just your average meat smothered in sauce you get at some Indian restaurants but each dish is its own delicious entity. Favourite Indian in London this food is a cut above the rest.

Staff is rude, the food lacks of freshness, it tastes like it has been warmed in the microwave and it was not even tasty. I love Indian food, this place is definitely below average
