A very poor impersonation of customer service. I paid for afternoon tea with bubbles to be delivered to close friends returning from their honeymoon. This after being forced to miss their wedding due to contracting Covid. The newlyweds plane was delayed meaning they were not...home to take receipt of the cream filled baked goods I had ordered. The couriers elected to leave their parcel on the front door in 30+ degree heat for a full day. Needless to say when the intended recipients of this gift returned home near midnight, the food was ruined and went straight in the bin. On hearing this I immediately contacted Cutter and Squidge who proclaimed no fault on their behalf, and instead chose to send me a Pod proving delivery had take place. The photo attached to the couriers Pod showed the hamper being left at the door of the address I had requested shipping to. No attempt was made to establish that the recipients were home. The contact number was not called and certainly no one answered the door. This is obviously problematic and impossible when stuck in Spain, as the intended recipients of my gift were. This I’ll conceived and vindictive attempt at service was endured despite Cutter and Squidge saying within their own terms and conditions, which should be binding at the contracted point of sale for services rendered; “7.4 In the case of deliveries inside the M25, if for any reason no one is present to receive delivery of the Products at the delivery address you have provided to us, we will take the Products back and retain the same overnight. Redelivery will be attempted for free the next day to the same address as was provided on the order” The intended recipients live in Croydon, which is inside the M25. When these Ts and Cs were referenced to Cutter and Squidge they completely ceased contact. We were essentially defrauded by way of breach of contract and they just do not care. Avoid this company.More

Cutter & Squidge! Awful service!!! Still waiting for my daughters birthday party cake the next day. We missed the delivery on order date due to receiving a misleading message from the delivery company about our cake being delivered between 9.35-11.35am so I left to drop...my daughter and arrived back home at 9.19am but the delivery was attempted at 9.06am. We were then told we can pay £25 and get cake on the same day up until 8pm which was no good as we had her friends coming and needed a cake for 6.30pm so we had to agree for the other option which was to receive the cake next day from 8am to 8pm. We are still waiting and it’s 20.55pm. My daughter is so upset and has gone to bed really disheartened. After the year we have all had this was not necessary. The complaints manager closed our complaint this afternoon saying from his end the matter is closed. Don’t order from this company.More

I'm very disappointed and I'd never imagined that four days after transaction and two before due date I would get an email that I might be a fraud!!?? I've paid for a cake, provided my contact details and address and I am a fraud. That's...ridiculous. If you don't have capacity to make a cake just say so but such a message is outrageous. Won't recommend to anyone.More

Ordered a cake from them, which was ok but delivery and customer service is appalling. They delivered 2 hours later than their promised delivery time, which I paid for, causing my function to run late. Will never use again. Avoid.

The team were REALLY easy to deal with, the cake was great (Eton Mess) and the delivery updates for a cake we ordered was the best I'd received from any cake company. Thank you so much! Looking forward to coming down for the potions class...afternoon tea.More

They took my order via their website for my mums birthday. They failed to deliver on her birthday. Then they reorganised the delivery and failed to deliver yet again. Their apology was none existent. They clearly don't care. Their phone system makes it impossible for...you to speak to anyone and complain. I have no idea what their products are like but their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced!More

My sister was kind enough to order me a Victoria sponge cake and pistachio with white chocolate cookies from here for my solo lockdown birthday. I know from previously looking that this place isn't cheap. However, the taste was! Definitely style over substance..I love my...sweet things and am always on the hunt for great places. However the cake was no better than m&s clotted cream and strawberry cake or the waitrose version. So disappointed.More

I ordered this as a gift for my mum for Mother’s Day. As instructed, I placed the order to be delivered 1 day before I actually wanted it, due to it being delivered to Northern Ireland. However, there was much disappointment when I received an...email saying my delivery would actually arrive two days later than expected which is of absolutely no use to me or to my mum who will not be in the house to receive the order, never mind the fact it’s a work day and Monday! Oh and we also got told that when it arrives some of the food inside may be out of date. As I'm sure is the case with 90% of your customers, this is a time critical gift and delivering three days late when some of the food will be out of date is clearly not good enough, and no use as a present that was arranged weeks in advance. On top of all of this, the customer service lady offered me a £10 gift voucher for the disappointment! (As if this makes up for it). Clearly this company cannot deliver to Northern Ireland, so to avoid disappointment don't bother ordering!More

I ordered a Mother’s Day afternoon tea to be delivered, and I could not rave enough about it! The scones were moist and the cheesecake brownies were literally the best thing I’ve ever tasted! Will definitely be ordering again! Thank you for a brilliant lockdown...Mother’s Day!More
