Came here to meet a friend who was over from Canada. Staff are friendly but in a at the continues to interrupt when it's obvious people are catching up. Tables are tiny and very close together. We ordered raspberry martinis, lovely, and tortilla, patatas bravas, chicken with artichoke, salmon and croquettes. Tortilla was the runny variety, which either of us... More

Met two colleagues for catch up and bite in this busy place in Fitzrovia. Good booking engine, table ok, but better when moved to booth, food was good but took a little while for some of the dishes to arrive. Wine by glass was fine. Service was attentive. Good vegetarian selections. The restaurant asked for feedback and I said some... More

Had a really enjoyable lunch with my husband. Wonderful selection of dishes (meat, fish and vegetables) and good wine list. Will definitely go again.

We have eaten a lot of tapas all over the world including some of the so-called finer tapas restaurants in London but the food here was exceptional- creative, contemporary and beautifully presented. Excellent service and vibe. I cannot believe some of the negative comments about size of portions - at first glance, the menu doesn't look cheap but the portion... More

My friend and I went to Salt Yard for lunch and we had a great time! We ordered 5 tapas and shared between us - paprika chicken, octopus, kale and cheese ball, padron peppers and patatas bravas - all super delicious. We only drank water and the bill came to just over £40 including service charge, very reasonably. I will... More

Rocked up on a Friday evening at 7.30pm with out a reservation. The extremely polite and friendly nature of the hostess almost made me forget I was in London! She apologised that she didn't have a table for 3 but did offer us seats at the bar if we didn't mind. We didn't mind. We ordered two different types of... More

After seeing the reviews I was expecting a great meal. Unfortunately it was only mediocre and definitely not worth the price. The octopus dish and salted cod was pleasant but the patatas bravas not only took ages and was the last to arrive on our table, but it was just chips with some paprika and salt on them served with... If you feel like having some tasty tapas, Salt Yard is a great option to consider. Ambiance is casual chic, Food is tasty and staff very friendly. I really liked their Padron Peppers, the Patatas Fritas, the Jamon, Leek and Manchego croquetas. Roast Hake and Courgettes flowers were not my favorites. #Sahtein

The seasonal cocktail packed a punch and the wine went down very easily. A very enjoyable trip and would love to go back soon!

Description
Salt Yard is an award-winning bar and restaurant serving modern tapas inspired by the flavours & produce of Spain & Italy.

The tapas are complemented by charcuterie and cheese boards and we have a wide selection of excellent wines and sherries.

Flexibility is key to Salt Yard. Customers can enjoy a full spread of tapas: or come in simply for a glass of red wine and a plate of cheese, a coffee and a delicious pudding, or even just a perfect martini and a handful of Marcona almonds.

Located in central London- a two minute walk from Goodge St tube station- we are perfectly placed for a business lunch, a pre-theatre meal or a night out with friends. The restaurant is also available for private hire.
