We visited for my birthday and enjoyed a drink on the rooftop terrace outside - nice views of the City. Our meal was lovely, service impeccable. A little birthday treat with dessert. Would definitely recommend and will return.

No dress code but you may feel better in smart casual. Jeans are ok so long as smart enough. The "City" lost a lot of pomposity years back. If you are a man, forget the tie. Hope this helps.

Coq d'Argent serves classic French food in its spectacular rooftop setting at No.1 Poultry in the City of London. In addition to the main restaurant, the brasserie offers a less formal menu at lunchtime, while the outdoor terraces and gardens provide a verdant oasis in the heart of the Square Mile.
