Had drinks with friends at the bar, food and drink was great, as was the atmosphere - very festive! On paying our bill we were charged service which we paid as until that point service had been fairly good. However, as we left we were pulled aside by front of house and told we had short changed them and needed... More

I was a bit disappointing, having perhaps set my expectation too high. Whilst I only went for drinks it was frustrating to sit waiting (while the restaurant, which was not exactly busy) for someone to take an order. I am not adverse to walking to the bar myself by any means, but given the premium you pay to be there...... More

Been several times and every time the service is spot on and the food is so good I'd have it again instead of desert....which also so good. Great terrace with sheepskin seats and chilled atmosphere. Love it.

Booked in for lunch with my wife and son whilst on a day out shopping. First visit to this restaurant. It was superb, the food was exceptional and very well priced. The service was second to none and all the staff were very professional and knowledgeable. Will definitely return. Well done!!!!

My wife and I visited Coq d'Argent for my 30th birthday and I can truly say it was a wonderful evening. The staff were attentive, friendly and polite. We were concerned that it might be a bit snobby but this was not the case at all, a very welcoming atmosphere. The food was lovely; we ordered the chateaubriand to share... More

Had not been to the coq d'argent for a while and good to see it has changed very little. The food is still good and a nice buzz - during winter the outdoor roof top garden is out of use but great during the summer. Great location if you need to wine and dine some clients or business partners.

I went to Coq d'Argent for a catch up lunch with a friend. The weather was lovely so we had our glasses of champagne on the terrasse, transformed for the festive season into a very cosy winter wonderland with blankets and heaters, it was a great way to start our lunch and got our spirits in a relaxed mood. Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
