We booked a table at 12pm, the beginning of the official opening hours. However we were told to wait until 12:10 when they were "ready". Papadam was served after ordering the food with water, probably they know they are very salty. However the mango flavour out of three dipping is very nice. Some of us cannot eat very spicy food... The food and service is excellent. It is busy so maybe book to definitely get a table. The chefs must never stop! Can't wait to go again.

Been a few times now and the food is always great. It can get very busy so try and book in advance to avoid disappointment. Alcohol isn't served here but you are more than welcome to bring your own in. Well worth a visit.

I went to Tayyabs for the second time this week, and yet again the food was fantastic. But customer service is really not much to ask for in London, the staff are rude and unaccommodating. The prices are very reasonable and it is bring your own booze which obviously saves you lots of money, but it is not much to... More

When we arrived early on a Saturday evening a long queue for tables was already forming. It was therefore a relief when we were seated fairly quickly. Once seated the service was good and food very tasty.

Food was ok, service in terms of speed was brilliant. we were sat down, served our food and paid the bill in around under an hour. The 'famous' lamb chops were nothing special, however the keema naan, was amazing,

The lamb chops and seekh kabobs have me coming back atleast once a month. The service is very extreme with it often erring on bad. Really don't understand why they charge for water on the top and bottom floor but can serve tap water on the main floor (but not the 'VIP' room). The water policy is really silly and... More

Honestly if you want great food and a good price then come here. It's busy for a reason. It's good. We had 2 starters. 2 mains. And 2 breads. All for under £30

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
