Visited with my mother for afternoon tea and our first impression wasn't great, we booked online though a 3rd party site, once we had arrived we told to just take a seat wherever we liked which was fair enough as it was quiet. We where then left waiting with no acknowledgement for while until someone came over once they did... More

Menu is extensive but food was nothing special. I ordered a ceasar salad but ate it because I was hungry. Not many pieces of chicken and costs £11

Mediocre service, not a smile in sight. Coffee eclair used to be my favorite but it was stale and tasteless. the coffee was o.k. the place has gone downhill dramatically. It still looks the same but the cakes are not. I won't be back. There are enough really nice coffee places nearby so I will try those in future.

Used to be reliable but gone downhill. Very disappointing lunch today, sent back our first grilled sandwiches which arrived luke warm and made with non-grilled sliced bread. Tried the club sandwich instead but that was very mediocre and certainly not worth the price charged. The service was slow and lack lustre and we won't be back.

The lunch proved to be mediocre. The chef's salad was adequate at best, and the Croque Monsieur less than stellar.

We popped in for a coffee and a cake. Food was of excellent quality but service was poor. The gateaux type cakes are wonderful and make great presents especially at this time of year.

Stopped at this branch for brunch, we both had a full English breakfast which was delicious. However the service was not amazing. Our drinks arrived when we were about half way through eating. We were also treated to a view of one of the waitresses underwear every time she bent over. (Appeared to be Faded white granny pants).

Met up with family in London and decided having previously visited Patisserie Valerie in other locations and been pleased with food and service to reserve a table at Brompton Road. When we arrived we were not welcomed but a hand was waved in the general direction of the tables. We had already pre purchased a voucher for the afternoon tea,... More

This place feels like a bit of France in London. The cakes are fresh and delicious, we were a big company and tried many. The only downside was waiting for a table for about 20 minutes but it was in peak time, and we passed by at other times and it was less busy, so no complaints. The tea and... More

Went in for tea and cake and ended up having lunch. Got seated right away on Sunday at lunch. Simple light menu. Food came quickly and was very tasty with reasonable prices. Really enjoyed our meal. Place was very busy. Cakes are lovely. Good for afternoon tea with a platter. Quick payment and out. Would come back.

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
