Barrafina is a tiny London jewel. A definite stop for an exquisite dining experience. As previously stated the space is small so don't be surprised if you have to wait for one of the bar seats to free-up. There is no waiting area so you'll pretty much be standing along the wall or outside until something opens. There are also... More

Great vibe. Great food. Great staff and great service. Salads were lovely! Pricey but you can see why. Wasn't sure about the guy on "service" constantly rubbing his beard and handling all the food. But apart from that, the place was awesome. I've never queued for food before but this was worth the the one hour wait. Definitely try the... More

We sat at the Adeleide St branch. I decided to give it a go as I'm Spanish and I was missing eating my country's food. For us it was a missed opportunity. The food was salty, too salty to be enjoyed. The tortilla was overcooked from the outside, very underdone inside and didn't taste good. The rest was all average... More

Barrafina serves wonderful tapas freshly made. The food and wines are great and the staff is engaging and friendly. During our wait to be seated the staff encouraged us to order a bottle of wine and feel at home. The only downside is the bill can add up as you drink a bit and order more and more dishes.

haven't moved very far but nothing has changed... still superb .... the biggest win is better outside deating with heating that meant we turned up at 7 and got a table with no wait as people inside rather wait over an hour for a bar stool!! Fun happy service, quality food .....

Since the restaurant moved to Dean Street, it has gained a few more seats and more (queuing) space. The food is as excellent as ever. The service uber busy and friendly. The place just has great vibe and is still worth the wait. Long time favourite had become even better in the new location. Thumbs up!

Best tapas I've had in town. Tried to go a few times and too busy, found myself in soho on a Sunday lunchtime and popped in for a snack. Amazing chorizo amongst other dishes. Really cool atmosphere and very friendly host, also very informative about where to buy Spanish ingredients in London. Believe they are moving location soon

Great selection of Spanish wines, and all plates were perfect, flavors you can't find in other place. Service could be better but too much work for them.

Description
Barrafina is an authentic Spanish tapas bar located in London's Soho. It serves a traditional but contemporary, regional a la carte menu and there is a daily blackboard of specials, created by Executive Head Chef, Barragan Mohacho. Barrafina operates a first come first serve queuing system, and does not take reservations for their 23 stools. However, part of the fun of dining there is eating little bites and sipping on something delicious while making the line. The kitchen is open and guests are close to all the action and drama while their food is prepared.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
