Good service in the upstairs room. Good coffee Cold snotty poached egg spoilt the chorizo & miso squash dish otherwise the food was enjoyed. Did not enjoy paying a cover charge & I really hate the VAT dodge that is the 'service charge' The salted...More

Cosy trendy restaurant on Marylebone High Street, which we visited on a Saturday evening around 8pm. We were fortunate enough to be seated at the last available seats on the 'sociable ' high tables running through the middle of the restaurant. Good service and good...More

We had a beautiful evening of delicious food and attentive lovely service. We each could have chosen every dish on the menu and been happy - guess that means a return visit for the ones we didn’t try. Thank you

Quite a few experimental things, especially on the dessert menu (miso brownies and avocado sorbet), but everything I tried I really liked. The Turkish eggs were delicious. It’s very busy, but if you can get a table away from the door do, as it’s cold...More

We've become used to pleasant and competent service these days, it's a surprise to find it missing in a generally well regarded restaurant. The food was good but where did you find the two po faced waiters who looked as though they'd much prefer to...More

Michael McGrath here, one of the two owners of The Providores and Tapa Room. I was really sorry to hear of your experience. I'm obviously going to look into this complaint myself as it's very disappointing to hear about this kind of behaviour from any...More

Overated and poor acoustics in the upstairs dining room so noisy. The food was pretty average considering the price charged for the set meal choices. A shame really.

We had an early (pre-theatre) reservation on a recent Saturday evening. We arrived a couple of minutes early for our reservation, whereupon the hostess looked at her computer screen, shrugged unsmilingly, and gestured toward a couple of empty stools at the tapas bar with a...More

I went to The Providores for a business lunch. Generally the service both on entry and at the table was courteous but cold. I got there a bit early and said I was waiting for my companion and the maitre d' just shrugged and pointed...More

The food was very good, and looked beautiful, although my partner was disappointed at the portion sizes. The pricing was expensive (particularly for a 400ml carafe of wine). We chose to eat upstairs on the recommendation of my brother, as he said the downstairs could...More

Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods
cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience.
Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the
southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of
Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The
bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it
