This is such a charming gem in London. The food is so flavourful and tasty. Their traditional bread is huge and delicious. The bread is baked in this huge clay oven and it is literally melting in your mouth. The minced lamb and chicken, as well as lamb pieces are delicious. You literally can't go wrong with anything on the... More

Love love love this place! Every time I visit Centra London for work I make it a point to come visit this two leveled hole-in-a-wall feel of a restaurant for their kebabs, hummus, and friendly service. If coming with somebody, order the starter platter to share. They make amazingly smooth hummus and order it with a side of Persian bread... More

While the restaurant itself is fairly small and feels a little cramped sometimes (especially when it's busy), the food is great and at a good price and the staff are very friendly. I've visited many times and sure I will visit many more times in future. One thing to note- they only accept cash here, which is a bit of... More

Every year we go to the Patogh for dinner. I expect no change to the decor, scenery, tables, cutlery, and definitely no change to the Chelo Kebab. It is just as things used to be in Herat and Kabul 45 years ago. The real Afghanistan, even if some of the staff are from Kerala, others are not. Bring your own wine, and if you come and find... More

I recently returned from a short trip to Iran, and wanted to reminisce about my trip with some fellow travellers over an authentic dinner. My friends and I thought the food and service were excellent, and even more so that it was a BYO restaurant. A good evening had by all, so much so, that we will definitely be going... More

Food is tasty and authentic, service is good, very good reasonably priced. Be warned you might want to put your name on the waiting list for 45mins to 1hour, as it's a really tiny place. I love its rugged authentic village look interior

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
