We had a group of ten for a pre-wedding dinner. Service was excellent for a large group, especially for a busy Friday. Outstanding gin selection, and a decent offering of wines. Lamb was excellent, and my wife enjoyed shepherd's pie. Caesar salad was also good. Menu selection is adequate, but there is not a large selection of entrees.

The restaurant is one of the more slightly upscale places to eat in Greenwich. The food is good but unfortunately the selection is not as wide and varied as its sister restaurant in Shoreditch. However the service is top-notch: The Manager approached us when we returned an appetiser and was more than happy to change the dish and find us... More

The service here was friendly and prompt. The food is very good quality but you need to order sides with most mains this put the food into a more expensive category. The restaurant has a nice ambiance,

We stumbled on Rivington on our first afternoon in Greenwich. What a find. I managed to get a last minute reservation online. The drinks menu was amazing with at least 40 gins to try. Food was delicious - the chilli jam on the prawns was unbeatable. Lots of choice. My husband had a tomahawk pork chop which was huge and... More

After a big party there for my husband there, I decided to visit again for a wuiet dinner with my friends and, yet again I was not disappointed - the food, the staff, the atmosphere made it another memorable event. Will definitely go again.

Decided to visit because it came recommended for Gluten Free options but were disappointed. No gluten free menu, no gluten free toast and incorrect information from staff. Initially when we sat down we were told the manager wold come over and describe the gluten free options but after waiting ages for this we asked member of staff what the GF... More

My husband had the fish of the day and it was excellent and the fish and chips was very poor. The staff were very pleasant and we chose the wrong day to visit as a very noisy wedding party was making merry upstairs on a mezzanine floor and we couldn't have a conversation with each other.

I have lived in Greenwich for a number of years and have visited this place a fair few times over the years. However, I haven't been here for a while and was looking forward to it. I have to say, what a real disappointment. The venue is still great, staff attentive and a reasonable selection of wines. Unfortunately that's where... More

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
