Good food, friendly staff and amazing view. Perfect for a hot summer's day. Sometimes it can be busy though and a table is hard to come by outside!

My partner and I visited this pub on the hottest day of the year (so far) in March. It was the first day they opened up the outside bar. Which was lovely btw. We managed to get a table looking over the Thames. (Beautiful Views). The staff were great! We decided to eat here too and we were so glad... More

Been here on so many occasions and always regarded it as one of the best pubs in east London, the food has always been good sometimes exceptional but the last few times we have been in it has gone really down hill. Service is poor with no enthusiasm or motivation from staff and food is very average and extremely over... More

Went to the Gun restaurant for a early family dinner. (Been there lots of times before) There was no one in the main restaurant and we sat out in the indoor Terrance as we had a small dog. We all felt like steak for dinner so we ordered 1x rib eye mr, and 3 x sirloin m, mw. Ordered 2x... More

I was pleasantly surprised with The Gun, it's a hidden little gem my friend had managed to unearth. Sitting outside next to the river was so tranquil albeit a little breezy (they really need to get plastic cups outside!). Although we did not eat, the menu looked appealing but with only a handful of cocktails which looked a little pricey.... More

The Gun is a traditional Pub Restaurant which is tucked away in a residential area of the Docklands on the outskirts of Canary Wharf. It's combination of superb food (you have to try the scotch eggs), great wine, amazing local ales and a fantastic Thames edge position makes it one of the best pubs in London. The service is excellent... More

Went for Sunday lunch as I had heard great things about this place. Sitting was for 1.30 but by the time we arrived they were out of the 2 dishes we wanted to order for a starter. Ordered the lamb for the main and it was just a huge piece of fat. Not good for £24 a pop. They did... More

Excellent old pub with fantastic river views overlooking the 02 Greenwich. A real hidden gem within Isle of Dogs!

We went to the pub by chance as it was close to our hotel. The staff is very nice and friendly, the restaurant is cozy and the food is traditional yet tasty and somewhat original (I had the blini with goat cheese mousse). All in all a very nice place have dinner or to just have a drink!

the setting opposite the 02 on the river is great & the pub décor is great. The food was excellent and was accompanied by an extensive wine list. My only complaint would be that the starters didn't arrive at the same time so some of us had finished before the others were at the table. Otherwise great, recommend!

The Gun is a beautifully restored Grade II listed riverside pub, dating back to the 18th century. Frequented by Lord Horatio Nelson in the late 18th century, the venue has been transformed in recent years into a legendary London gastropub with a 40 cover dining room in the main bar, a back bar with two snugs, two private dining rooms and a fantastic riverside terrace that seats 40. Previously awarded London's Best Dining Pub 2012/13 by The Good Pub Guide, The Gun serves the highest quality British food complemented with experienced service. The bar offers a wide range of beers and cocktails and the wine list is seriously classy too. The nearest stations are Canary Wharf for the Jubilee line and South Quay or Blackwall for the DLR.
