Located in the heart of Mayfair where alot of upperclass come for dining. Very dark exterior, so we went by in a flash before we noticed it. You enter a rather medium-large basement with white tables and minimalistic interior. Very elegant place, just wish that...More

I had an American couple for dinner with me. This was their 1st experience at an Indian restaurant. We did not receive any assistance from the wait staff in explaining the menu or suggestion on ordering food. The waiter was brief and impatient, almost curt...More

This restaurant was recommended by our concierge at the Intercontinental London and it was wonderful. We went with our two teenagers who didn't want Indian food and by the end they were in heaven. The service, ambiance and food was spectacular.

Without doubt the best Indian food I have ever had. It was sublime! We started the evening with cocktails. A mango Mohito for Hubby and a berry and chili one for me...so good! (I've been googling recipes since we got home!). We then decided we...More

We had the pre theatreeni which was a very reasonable £35 for three courses. All the food was delicious and service excellent. The restaurant even catered seamlessly for a dietary requirement with no advance notice. Recommended.

I was a little miffed when I made my reservation for a large group at Tamarind and was told it would be a set menu, but I made the reservation anyway. What a lucky choice it was. I have been to Tamarind on every trip...More

Set beside some of London's best parks and home to
world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed

London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is
haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is
vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic
streets will reveal that Michelin stars and
chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even

Michelin-starred Tamarind presents an elegant take on Indian cuisine from its gilded dining room in chic Mayfair. The inventive menu is rooted in traditional Moghul cooking, with fish, meat and game dishes brought forth from the Tandoor oven in an authentic north-west Indian fashion. Muted tones and attentive service make the restaurant a smart yet convivial destination.
