Please to find this restaurant near the apartment we were renting. Very pleasant atmosphere, and lovely food. We were particularly impressed with how fresh the salad was and beautifully dressed. Reasonable prices too.

We rented an apartment nearby and ate here our first night. The pastas were cooked to perfections (especially the black squid seafood pasta) and the pizza was fantastic. We came on a Sat night and sat downstairs (definitely the overflow room but we were so exhausted we honestly didn't care). It was interesting, the cooks all seemed to be Italian... More

We live in the neighbourhood and the downside of this restaurant is that it is so good that we do not leave the area to discover new places. It is not only about the variety of the food but more about the quality of it: all fresh and great food. Excellent without anytime defaulting. We have our family Saturday and... More

Sunday nights can be difficult to find a restaurant. This was a good find.Although cramped downstairs the service was good.Mainly pasta and Pizza which was well cooked with a meat and fish of the day.My lamb cutlets were simply but properly cooked.

We live locally so inevitably land up here once in a year or so to grab a late quick bite purely because of geography and lack of choice. Each time the service is consistently bad and rude to everyone - they don't seem to understand that this is not cool. Pizza is average and expensive too. Avoid unless you have... More

We have been regular customers for years since we are local residents of Warwick Avenue, and I the service has got worse and worse. Last month I booked a table for 4 for dinner through Open Table. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were sat on a tiny table where we could barely fit the menus. When we asked... More

Simple Italian food, well cooked, in a simple environment, service was OK to good, the chicken I had was delicious and a decent bottle of red brought a bill of just over £100. Difficult to say specifically what they could improve but lacked a little charm and character, I would probably give it another go if I was in the... More

I visited Red Pepper with a friend after a concert at Maida Vale studios last night. It was fairly late so we were pleased to be accommodated. We both ordered the duck ravioli and a garlic bread to share. The ravioli was some of the best I've ever tasted (and I've lived in Italy!) and the garlic bread was delicious.... More

In 1994, Red Pepper Restaurant set the standard for independent mid-price Italian restaurants in London by opening its doors to the public. It's secret: authentic pizza baked in its wood-burning oven brought over from Italy. Some of our regulars swear it's the best pizza in London and who are we to disagree? But Red Pepper is not just about pizza. We are dedicated to the best regional Italian cooking, from places seldom featured on most "nouveau Italian" menus - dishes from Sardinia, the Campania and the south; home-made, melt in the mouth pasta; sauces based on game and seafood, grills of the best, freshest catches of the day. Red Pepper restaurant is small, cosy, informal and welcoming. Whether you eat inside or alfresco, when you come to Red Pepper you come to a place where you can feel the pulse of London. Many locals, some of them good cooks and cookery writers regard it as their "second kitchen". It has been acclaimed time and again and been awarded for its honest rustic take on regional Italian food and service through the years.
