A good size restaurant serving excellent Indian food. Many photos on the wall attesting to the restaurants history. Enjoyed the tandoori and tikka masala. Convenient to evening entertainment and shopping.

Just 5 min walk from British Museum is this very good indian place. We went mostly for vegetarian dishes but 2 starters, 2 main course, yoghurt raita, rice and water ended on 37 pound. Very polite and attentive staff. Recommended!

Good and reasonably priced menu. Butter chicken as well as other chicken dishes are really good and there are a lot of options in starters as well as mains. There is usually some waiting time especially for weekend dinners. Vegetarian options could be improved a bit, they are sometimes not as good as the Chicken/Lamb dishes.

An unplanned visit after going to the theatre. Although busy we were able to get a table for three swiftly. I have had many curries and I had one of the best chicken tikka masalas at this restaurant. The house wine (white) was also very good. Staff attentive. Great restaurant, and would happily visit again

Fantastic food, We walked in and asked for a table for 2. Had to wait for a few minutes which was ok as we saw it was busy from the out side. The service was quick and good, food came quick and was amazing, good flavor and balanced of spices. Will definitely recommend this place to others

Second visit only but again totally impressed with every aspect.I am pleased that previous reviews from customers of Punjabi origin say how good the food is too as to me the flavours are just superb. Had the pleasure of meeting the boss too, a lovely gentleman who must be very proud of this great restaurant.

I just love this place. Hadn't been for a few years so wasn't sure it would still be as good but it was. I'm of Punjabi origin myself and find some of the dishes to be authentic. We had the Achari Murray, Methi Gosht, Chola and Kulcha Naans. This is the only Indian restaurant for British people where you can... More

When arriving before 18:00 we could get a table without problem. They do not take reservations (as most indian restaurants do here in London). The menu is focussed on typical Punjab food and therefore a welcome change of the stereotype dishes you on the menu in most indian restaurants. The food is very tasty and upon demand you can order... The restaurant is very popular. We had to queue for 20 min. Then we waited inside for 10 more min. The prices are too high for this type of food on my opinion. Small portions. The service was good, very friendly. Masala tea was not spicy at all and it was very far away from the real one. I expected... More

HI Iris F, Thank you for your review and thank you for your patience in the queue. We feel that our prices are very competitive with restaurants in the same Central London location. Our dishes are still cooked to the same recipes that have been handed down through the generations when we first opened in London in 1946. Please do... More
