Poor service, poor quality food, disorganised staff. Shame because it is a great looking pub with nice views of the river.

Historic Pirate pub in London. Can walk from the Tower of London (30-40 minute walk along the Thames). Great food. Great pub. Nice selection of drinks. Absorb history as u eat and relax. Highly recommended. Service wasn't great but barmen were decent.

Looking forward to a dinner for two booked online for 5pm 18/02/2017. Had email confirmation. Arrived at 440pm, pub was busy. Got served after waiting 10 minutes. 455pm tried to attract staff attention to find out where table was. Told by barman who pointed "Upstairs Pepys room". Totally packed out, no reservation out. Question staff, whose English was diabolical. Confirmed... More

Visited many times over the years, but it is such a snapshot in time to see a very original Thames side Pub, of the Samuel Pepys and great fire period. good service and beers

This place is well outside the heart of London but well worth hunting down. It's located on the River Thames and is considered to be London's oldest riverside pub. The floorboards seem original. There are low beams, narrow stairs, balconies, and a few little side rooms. The wine selection is ok...it's too bad I'm not a beer drinker. My friend... More

I went for lunch last week, and I was served by far the worst meal I have ever eaten anywhere. The fish was so dry and overcooked it was inedible, the batter so tough I couldn't even cut it - it tasted well past its sell by date. My husband's pie was OK, but the fish was appalling.

Another traditional pub with a great deal of history and flirtations with the famous. Really narrow in places with great views over the Thames if you can get a seat on the dock side. It has a nice atmosphere with some great beers on tap and we grabbed a seat and table when we could by the front window. I... More

Lloved the waterside location, the sloping floors & wooden historical pplaques. Amazing food perfect for a grey wintery day.

Our London cabbie suggested we have lunch here after our visit to the Tower of London. We started to walk from the Tower then realized we needed to take a cab. It was a GREAT place with the most fascinating history. We enjoyed a traditional fish and chips lunch. The young wait staff were super-friendly and very interesting. We enjoyed... More
