We didn’t eat here (although the food looked good) but would fully recommend a visit to this old historic pub which has plenty of character. Outside and within. The views across the Thames are amazing and even more so from the pub yard when stood...More

Located along the Thames within walking distance east of Tower Bridge. Here it's been since 1520 - still with parts of the original floor. All tables reserved for Sunday lunch, but in the sunshine on the terrace or at the bar there were no problems...More

When in London, I try to take in one or two historic pubs. On the day of my arrival, I visited, "The Prospect of Whitby" on an overcast afternoon. The pub itself is located on a somewhat quiet street. When I arrived, there were few...More

We enjoyed our drinks in this historic pub with a great view. Interesting nuggets of historical facts and trivia all around the pub.

Supposedly oldest riverside pub in London. Very friendly staff and good food at a reasonable price. Great view of the River Thames and a nice way to spend an afternoon

Due to the lovely weather today, we thought we would visit this pub as it's a very well known pub, with good reviews. We arrived about 13:30 and as it was very busy, we were willing to wait the 45mins for food, due to prior...More

This pub is very old and was built in he 1500's. It has the original stone floor from that time. It also has the longest pewter bar in England. There are many rooms in this pub which have many paintings showing lots of history. Great...More

We came here for an evening meal towards the end of a busy afternoon (and evening) in London. A traditional style pub that's very nicely decorated and offers superb views across the River Thames with an attractive garden to the side. We arrived at about...More

Not been here for many years and remember it rough and ready but today it's super if expensive. Clean and on the river with lots of atmosphere. She nice to pop back to the centre of Docklands.

Possibly....but it's not terribly spacious inside with many tables crammed in as possible. It's not really a place I'd take very young children.
