We arrived to be seated in the cold, soulless extension to the main dining area and as the main dining area was not overly full during our Friday lunch visit, I asked if we could be relocated and they obliged gladly and readily. Although the main dining room has a bit more flair and style to it, for me, it... More

I took my wife here for our 10th wedding anniversary and we left with big smiles on our faces. We had a drink in the bar first and then were taken to our table. The setting was fantastic. Our table was fab as we sat on a curved sofa together which meant it was nice and intimate rather than sitting... More

We had high hopes, because of the man (Marcus Wareing) and the restaurant (2 Michelin starred 'Marcus'). While the starter of scallops deserved some accolades, the mains were mediocre and the dessert downright awful. Staff was indifferent, matching the food come to think of it. There's much better food to be had for these prices in London so stay clear!

You expect the food to be good a a Michelin rated restaurant, I think that the guys here deserve more than ONE. We were running a little late a quick phone call and all taken care of. On arrival a wonderful greeting, as if we were long standing regulars so nice to be made so comfortable and welcome. The food... More

We had the most fabulous dinner at Marcus, the service in the restuarant and the entire hotel of The Berkeley is first class, including the best concierge service we have ever experienced in our life. The food at Marcus was unique and exquisite unique, you can't go wrong. Its a must do!

Dinner with friends Starter of scallops-2.5 scallops which were cold. Another starter of confit of cod was excessively salty and cold. Main course of brill was the smallest piece of fisive ever seen. Another main course of halibut was overlooked and cold.

We had high hopes for a visit to this establishment, which is attached to The Berkeley Hotel. We note, in retrospect, that the website claims "Marcus combines two Michelin starred cooking with a relaxed, contemporary space...showcasing the very best in British seasonal produce". Our verdict would be that the building is a "Temple" to brash tastes, the "Service" oscillates between... More

Its my first dining experience at Marcus Restaurant and i have made the bookings quite sometime ago. The ambience was cosy and comfortable. From the moment i stepped in, i was greeted with a warm and friendly host and i was led through the way to my seat. I ordered the 3 Course Set Lunch and not only good food,... More

We have dined at Marcus at the Berkeley Hotel four times in the past. Each, however, was hosting a board dinner, though each was excellent. This was a promise to ourselves, to dine just as a couple, without a dozen others in the group. On May 05, we made that happen. Since we were last at the Berkeley, the front... More

Staying in Belgravia

Neighbourhood Profile
Belgravia
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
