I had dinner at Moro with a group of colleagues. Despite a busy restaurant, our table was spacious and the acoustics allowed conversation to flow. Four of us ate delicious spinach borek to start, offset beautifully by whipped feta. I had pork belly with a...More

We have been coming here on and off for years; but it was sometime since our last visit. We came for Sunday lunch, having booked just that morning. The restaurant was not full but there was a pleasant chatty buzz about the place. The food...More

Food was disappointing and nothing like our positive experience when first visiting ~6 years ago. Bread/olive oil was fantastic but everything else wasn't great: Snails for starters were tough and the dish lacked flavour, Skate for mains look nicely seared but again the dish was...More

Having been huge fans of the proprietors ethos of cooking since buying cookbooks Moro and then Morito we knew we were in for a treat! Since our teaser 18 months ago at Morito we simply had to experience dining at Moro. And what better excuse...More

Moro is the best restaurant experience you could find anywhere. The food is sublime, the service impeccable and, like the ambience, relaxed and unfussy. We have been to the restaurant before, have bought every Moro cookbook on publication and use them all the time so...More

This is a seriously over-hyped and over-priced restaurant. Starters: the soup was too salty and the snails were, for the want of a better word, grisly rather than tender. Mains: the chicken was under-cooked and the pork unmemorable. This restaurant is all too typical of...More

Had business dinner last night. The food is very good, fresh ingredient, lovely tastes and quite healthy. Dishes are surprising in the interest they create. Service was professional but friendly enough. Ambient is lively and not too formal. High value for money.

We had a minor hiccup with our table being given away (we were ten minutes late), and I thought ten minutes is a little bit over zealous especially as we had tried to call twice to warn them we would be running late. However the...More

I hadn't been to this restaurant for some time but there was the same lively buzz and interesting menu as I remembered on previous occasions. Service was excellent, friendly but professional, a drink was offered when I arrived early and the waitress took time to...More

Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough

Description
It might be one of the hippest venues in one of the hippest parts of the capital but this Clerkenwell restaurant still manages to be relaxed and more concerned with good food than being trendy. The restaurant’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar and open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven is functional but welcoming. The Moorish cuisine complete with subtle European influence is every bit as striking as it was when the restaurant opened its doors nearly ten years ago. Tapas served all day at the bar. Reservations taken by phone and directly from our website.PLEASE NOTE - Moro restaurant is now open seven days a week. Please refer to our website for correct opening hours
