Not only is the food at Moro brilliantly executed, delicious and interesting, but you also get the feeling that, on that night you are there, nowhere else in London will anyone be eating the particular meal or set of ingredients that Moro will be serving....More

A relaxed restaurant, with a lovely menu. Had garlic mushrooms to start - boletus and hedgehog mushrooms - which were lovely. Then had lamb with walnut tarator, spinach and tomato and bulgar pilaf. Wow! The flavours here were fantastic, the walnut working particularly well with...More

We were three for dinner - had booked ahead. Very interesting spot - very busy on a friday night - great food. We ate things we had never eaten before - I had skate. Amazing dish - wonderfully presented. My companions had meat (lamb and...More

There were a number of dishes i hadn't tried before and I thought the waiter could have been a bit more helpful in explaining what are unusual foods (at least in my experience) rather than me relying on google translate, also for a Thursday lunchtime...More

The food is fresh, interesting, with a variety of plates - small and large - that are excellent in their execution and imagination. It pays to like pomegranate seeds, as they are used liberally. Take a seat at the bar or a table. The atmosphere...More

Forgot how wonderful this restaurant is. We were here over 10 years ago for an office and farewell dinner. Bought the book, etc. Great food and relaxing atmosphere. Had a lovely Saturday lunch with good friends and loved it all over again. Happy 20th anniversary,...More

Very busy place with a real buzz about it. Quirky menu with clear spanish and north african influences. Really interesting combinations of tastes and textures. note it is easier to find Exmouth Market from Farringdon tube and not from Angel. Recommend a visit and we...More

Recently enjoyed an excellent meal here. Absolutely delicious food, exciting flavours, tentative staff with great knowledge (wine and food) and recommendations. Some of the best and more interesting flavours I've had in London. It can be quite busy and loud but that's all part of...More

We had dinner to celebrate my birthday. Our first time here, and the menu was unfamiliar, so we needed help. Our waitress Hannah was amazing: her knowledge was spot on, as were her recommendations. She looked after us so well all evening, and made us...More

Nearby
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and
you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky

Description
It might be one of the hippest venues in one of the hippest parts of the capital but this Clerkenwell restaurant still manages to be relaxed and more concerned with good food than being trendy. The restaurant’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar and open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven is functional but welcoming. The Moorish cuisine complete with subtle European influence is every bit as striking as it was when the restaurant opened its doors nearly ten years ago. Tapas served all day at the bar. Reservations taken by phone and directly from our website.PLEASE NOTE - Moro restaurant is now open seven days a week. Please refer to our website for correct opening hours
