I've been to many Middle Eastern restaurants over the years. And specifically, I've been to more than a handful of Lebanese. Fairuz is a standout. Aside from the attentive service ad charming atmosphere, the food is exceptional. (Super) Fresh with a refined use of authentic...More

There is something for everyone on this extensive menu filled with small plates so you can try so many things. The first night I went with a London friend who knew the place and we had a quiet table in the back. The service was...More

I found the food pretty good quality. I really liked some of the vegetarian dishes in particular. I would rate it slightly above average - nothing mind-blowing though (which is not what I expected or was seeking). Just a good solid meal, nicely prepared, and...More

I had been only once before, having been introduced by a colleague about three years ago. This time I went with a friend, and again it was very good. We ate a combination of small dishes and shared a bottle of white wine. Please don’t...More

The main course was really Not good, the meat not tender at all and Not very tasteful. The prices are to high for this kind of quality.

My wife and I had an early supper here prior to attending a concert at the Wigmore Hall (a short walk). The service, food and atmosphere were wonderful - highly recommended!

The food is ok, perfectly acceptable with a couple of really nice options, but it’s a little expensive for what you get, service friendly if a little hit and miss

We New Yorkers were wandering around Marylebone looking for light eating options late evening and happily came upon Fairuz. The tabouleh was among the best I've had in years of tabouleh eating - a high ratio of parsley to bulgur. The kale appetizer was also...More

Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods
cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience.
Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the
southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of
Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The
bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it

FFairuz restaurant in Londons Marylebone is named in tribute to Lebanon's most famous chanteuse and cultural icon - a sweet, unguarded idea that, if copied, could lead to Bob Dylan the chippie or Cliff Richard the burger bar. Fairuz the restaurant is one of London's more relaxed and intimate Lebanese restaurants, with comfortable, rustic dcor and a warm welcome. Fairuz still observes all the traditions: formal service, the instant appearance of olives and chilled salad upon arrival. But the dcor, cooking, and staff are all pleasantly flamboyant and at Fairuz there's a general bonhomie among the staff and clientele. The Lebanese cuisine bursts with Eastern Mediterranean flavours - old favourites like tabouleh, foul moukaaka, and moutabaal do new dance steps on your tongue. The raw meat starters are unmissable. Good vegetarian selection, of course, and there is complimentary fruit and baklava with coffee.
