What an amazing experience from start to finish! I do not give 5 stars very often but I would have given more if allowed! We started with a pre lunch cocktail, expertly prepared in front of our eyes as we chose to sit at the bar. Served with some delicious nibbles. We moved through to the restaurant where the menu... We had an excellent meal here. The food was delicious, the service very good and although we prefer to have our wine bottle on the table, we couldn't fault the wine waiter who was always topping up the glasses before they were empty. The dining room was relatively small which made the overall experience less formal.

Nathan Outlaw might be an excellent chef and a good teacher. Tom Brown, the resident chef, does an outstanding job so that we'd prefer the restaurant's name changed to "Tom's at the Capital"! He'd deserve it.

The reviews and the Chef's name were the reason we made the booking. We waited for over half an hour for the menu to be brought to the table. Not even given a wine list and the waiter start clearing the glasses. Very slow service. Good fish, but too much sauce to my taste, overpowering the fish. Again, maybe we... More

This was our third visit to Nathan Outlaws restaurant at the Capital Hotel in Knightsbridge. The food was delicious and we brought our own wine which made the whole experience very affordable as we were not charged corkage. The atmosphere is friendly and the service superb. The hotel was welcoming on a freezing day and I would thoroughly recommend this... More

I had a very productive business dinner here, which was greatly facilitated both by the quality of the food and service, a well as the well-spaced tables. The goat cheese tart which I had for starters was light and refreshing, and was followed by a spectacular piece of turbot which was perfectly cooked. The only let down was the platter... More

We had lunch on a Thursday, when you can bring your own bottle - nice touch. The set menu was inviting, and 2 of us had Cornish fish soup to start, followed by the hake, served unusually with a roast chicken and mushroom dressing. One of us had duck breast from the a la carte, beautifully cooked. Puddings included treacle... More
